Dr. Singh obtained his doctoral degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, for the research work carried out at CSIR - Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow. His research focused on the development of novel, environmentally benign, and cost-effective organic synthetic methodologies, alongside the rational design, synthesis of pharmacologically important small molecules of biomedical relevance.
In 2016 he was awarded CSIR-CDRI Incentive award for the appreciation of excellent research work. Subsequently, he joined as a postdoctoral researcher to work on kinase inhibitors collaborative project between ZJGU, Hangzhou, and the King’s College London. Then, for the second postdoc, he moved to the School of Medicine, University of Maryland, Baltimore, to work on multidisciplinary collaborative research projects involving designing and synthesis of novel G-Protein Coupled Receptor antagonists. Some of his synthesized molecules have shown therapeutic potential and are filed for US patent for further development.
Currently, he's a Scientist-D at CSIR - Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad and continuing his research career as principal investigator. His research goal is to carry out translational research projects by integrating organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry approaches for knowledge-based designing and synthesis of novel small molecules towards the development of improved therapeutics.
