NIT-IIT Joint Scheme which was undertaken by MoE, Govt. of India (Previously known as MHRD) to enhance teaching quality and to address the faculty shortage issue. Top 15% meritorious students from the IIT, NIT, IIIT, IISER, NISER, and other AICTE/UGC approved Intitutions/Universities were selected and mentored.

The NEC scholarship initiated by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam provides financial assistance to economically backward students domiciled in the North-Eastern regions. The NEC scholarship enables deserving students to pursue higher education in engineering and other professional courses that the North-Eastern Council approves.
