About

I was born and raised in the state of Assam. I attended Nichols High School and Cotton College in Guwahati for my primary education. I have done my undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering and further graduate studies in Geotechnical Engineering. I am particularly interested in modelling soil using discrete approach and dynamic soil structure interaction problems especially response due to moving load. I try to analyze problems of reinforced earth bed with fundamental mathematical principle along with moderate computational efforts. Our group is currently trying to incorporate the continuum approach of modelling of soils and understand the validity of computational modelling of soil/rock. I have great interest in teaching and I'm presently employed with National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand.

Aside from study and professional endeavours, I enjoy writing English poetry. I take interest in dancing as well, and I was fortunate enough to be a member of dance groups during my undergraduate studies.
