We encourage you to look for the following modes to join our MBES lab:
For PhD (doctoral) Programme:
We’re happy to support your stay at the beautiful IIT Tirupati campus through the Half-Time Research Assistantship (HTRA)—a financial aid program available to Ph.D. and M.S. (Research) students during the May and November admission cycles.
The CSIR-UGC NET or DST-INSPIRE fellowship holder can directly apply for the PhD programme.
We also support writing for the prestigious Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (PMRF) for the PhD enrolment on the topic of 'Converting Agro Waste to Battery Electrodes' or 'Organic Green Electrodes for Fast Charging Batteries'.
IIT Tirupati has recently signed a Cotutelle (Joint) Doctoral Program MoU with University of Agder (UiA), Norway. If you would like to join such an exchange program to get the doctoral degree with affiliation of IIT Tirupati and the University of Agder (UiA), please contact us.
Through an MoU, you can also consider a joint PhD program with BITS Pilani. If that's an attractive option for you, please write to us.
For Postdoc:
Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of lab-based battery research? We're always looking to collaborate with curious and driven minds! While official post-doctoral openings will be listed here when available, we also encourage you to explore various fellowship opportunities [ such as the (i) National Postdoctoral Fellowship, NPDF), (ii) CSIR Research Associateship (RA), and (iii) AICTE Post-Doctoral Fellowship ] that can support your work with us.
Just drop us a message—we’re happy to discuss different ideas and career possibilities with you!
For Internship:
We are open for summer and winter internships. M.Sc. (Chemistry and Physics), BS-MS, B.Tech, and M.Tech students are encouraged to spend some time with us. We will help you gain expertise in electrochemistry and battery research. Our strong network may assist you in finding a suitable PhD position or connecting with various battery industry projects both within the country and abroad.
