Administrative Work:
I am responsible for planning the schedule of classes in a way that is equitable for faculty, ensures adequate opportunity for all students, and fits the learning spaces we have control of.
I provide reporting, analytics, and other support to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Director of Operations.
I led Arrupe College's first Academic Program Review, using a process that has been praised by Loyola assessment leaders. I invited feedback from faculty and staff regarding what aspects of the program should be considered and what questions should be asked, gathered, analyzed, and visualized relevant data, and then hosted a series of meetings in which I shared data and analysis regarding each programmatic component under consideration. Based on the discussion at these meetings, I wrote the APR Self-Study, and then arranged for all faculty and staff to meet with external reviewers. Faculty and student support staff had additional opportunity to provide feedback about the APR Action Plan after receiving the external reviewers’ report.
I support faculty curriculum development and ensure our curriculum maintains alignment with Loyola’s University Core and the state transfer articulation framework, the Illinois Articulation Initiative.
As assistant dean, I am a member of the Assessment Committee and author Arrupe's Annual Academic Assessment Report each year. Before becoming assistant dean, I served on the Assessment Committee and chaired it for one year.
