The department is well equipped with high end workstations, server systems and various software for image processing, GeoSpatial data handling and land use land cover classification (ERDAS Imagine, GeoMedia, TerrSet and ArcGIS), software for rainfall-runoff modelling including flood inundation mapping (MIKE Hydro Basin, MIKE SHE and MIKE FLOOD 1D & 2D), software for storm water modelling (MIKE Urban+ and PCSWMM) software for groundwater modelling and management (MIKE FEFLOW, Hydro-Geo-Analyst & Visual MODFLOW) and equipments for advanced terrestrial and aerial survey using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), DGPS and Total Station. The department also having the facilities of GeoWeb server platform and application to process large-scale geospatial data and handle, analyze and manage UAV and satellite imageries.
