Alison "Shey" Adriano has been taking computers apart and putting them back together since long before it was his job. He's the technician behind Dr Laptop Labs — CompTIA A+ certified since 2007, with a National Certificate II in Computer Technology and a business degree that means he can also explain, in plain language, why your laptop is doing what it's doing.
He started out fixing machines for friends, family, and strangers on computer forums in 2015, and opened Dr Laptop Labs as a proper shop in Cabanatuan City in 2022. In between, his team placed as a National Semifinalist at Microsoft's Imagine Cup Philippines, and he's been invited to speak on AI, emerging tech, and computing at universities across Luzon.

Shey has spoken at university IT seminars and entrepreneurship programs on emerging technology and artificial intelligence, including sessions at Araullo University, Batangas State University, and Miriam College.
His approach
His approach
Shey doesn't believe in selling more machine than a person needs, or writing off a device that can still be saved. He's an advocate for repairing and restoring computers rather than replacing them, and keeps his rates lower for students and non-profit organizations. When something is sensitive — a business project, creative work, personal files — a confidentiality agreement is always on the table, no extra convincing required.
