Introduction:
Debprasad Dutta serving as a Research Scientist at Mazumdar Shaw Medical Foundation (MSMF), Bangalore.
Methods:
He presently works on stem cell-based therapy for neurological disorders at Mazumdar Shaw Center for Translational Research (MSCTR). He earned his PhD from the National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences (NIMHANS). His doctoral research focused on a comprehensive mehanismic understanding of a peripheral neuropathy called Guillain Barré Syndrome.
Results:
The University of Liverpool hosted him in a Commonwealth Scholarship binational doctoral program with India. He secured the Assistant Professorship cum Junior Research Fellowship from University Grants Commission (UGC)-India. He also worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). ALBA Network, American Peripheral Nerve Society (APNS), British Peripheral Nerve Society (BPNS) VALIDATE Network (Oxford University), American Society for Human Genetics (ASHG), Royal Society of Biology, UK Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS), British Neuroscience Association(BSA), Indian Immunology Society (IIS), Indian Academy of Neuroscience (IAN), American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and others scholastic societies provided membership to him. He is an achiever of the Developing Country Award and AWSAR Award.
Discussion:
He contributes to all phases (T0, T1, T2, T3 and T4) of translational research with a molecular focus.
Conclusion:
He would like to continue his research in Translational Neuroscience transnationally and transdisciplinarily in the foreseeable future.
