The best way to find a paid entry-level position within a museum is to register for the Young Canada Works program: many museums, heritage organizations, and galleries receive federal funding through this program to hire students (usually in the summer) on short-term contracts. Positions are usually advertised beginning in February/March, and are contingent on the organization receiving funding (i.e. you may be interviewed before the organization have received confirmation of funding).
