Background

Education

Dr. Areti is a naturopathic physician, board certified by the North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners (https://www.nabne.org/home/). Dr. Areti earned a Doctoral Degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University and a Master's Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiologist from the University of Pittsburgh. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in French Literature, Civilization, and Philosophy from the University of Paris – Sorbonne (2nd degree).

Dr. Areti is dedicated and committed to ongoing education in order to continue developing her knowledge and skill so that she can provide the the most effective and responsible service to her patients.


Experience

Dr. Areti trained as a primary care physician at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health in Seattle. She worked alongside a team of medical doctors (MDs), naturopathic doctors (NDs), psychiatrists, pediatricians, midwives, and endocrinologists. The team offered services to infants, children, teens, adults, seniors, veterans, LGBTQ, and special populations for a wide scope of issues that included weight management, pain management, sports injuries, diabetes, allergies, asthma, dementia, auto-immune disorders, postpartum, thyroiditis, ADHD, Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS), Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS), HIV, pre- and post -surgery care, emotional trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and other conditions.

Dr. Areti has training in structural and environmental medicine, craniosacral therapy (CST), and visceral manipulation (VM).

Dr. Areti worked as a clinical exercise physiologist with professional athletes; children with special needs, Down Snydrome, ADHD, and autism (Kinder Kinetics at the University of Pittsburgh); and cardiac rehab patients (UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA).


Volunteerism

Dr. Areti performed volunteer services for Ballard Senior Citizen Center (Seattle), Lake City Senior Citizen Center (Seattle), and YWCA Opportunity Place for homeless women (Seattle).

Dr. Areti deeply understands and empathizes with children and adults with learning challenges and hearing impairments (she is a member of those populations) and she is eager to provide support for people to reach their potential.


Personal Interests

Dr. Areti enjoys physical activity to keep her mind open. She loves to connect with nature in order to feel the magnitude of humanity and the universe, and to remain humble.
