The Deakin Quantum Computing Research Network (or DQCRN, for short, not DQNet) is a strategic initiative designed to position the university as a responsive and capable contributor to the rapidly evolving quantum computing technology landscape. Our approach is intentionally measured: to lead in specific areas where gaps are found, and to follow closely and smartly, building on proven advances with precision and purpose—a deliberate strategy that allows us to build on global advancements, identify high-impact opportunities, and invest wisely in areas of sustainable strength.
