Quantum IT @ Deakin

Quantum IT @ Deakin is a research group aiming to develop research and teaching capabilities in Quantum Information, Computation and Machine Learning in the School of IT, and more broadly within Deakin University. The group activities are approached from the theoretical and practical Computer Science view of quantum technology.

Quantum IT @ Deakin is involved in developing curriculum for individual units, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Quantum Information and Quantum Computation.

At the same time, in collaboration with external researchers and partners, our group engages in the creation of quantum technology projects and business initiatives. We actively pursue government and industry funding across organisational, national, and international boundaries.

Our aim is to be a research organisation which is highly visible in the rapidly expanding Australian quantum scene, to create employment opportunities for Deakin students, and to ensure exciting future for Deakin academics, researchers, and our business partners in the areas of quantum communication, computing and technology application, as well as development of software platforms assisting deployment of future generation of quantum technologies.
