I am trying to flash TWRP onto a Redmi Note 4XI have the device's bootloader unlocked.I tried the following: Boot into fastboot mode on the Redmi (Vol Down + Power). Then type fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.1-0-mido.img on my PC. It says

I found a thread over at xda that helped me solve the issue: -developers.com/redmi-note-4/help/strange-problem-black-screen-redmi-note-t3716706/page10Apparently it is some issue with a certain kind of display and the official TWRP can't handle it correctly. The proposed solution is to download an unofficial TWRP version found here:

I'm trying to root my xiami Redmi 9T, and to do that I have to root it from twrp recovery. I've unlocked the phone(waited 7 days), got twrp from here. What I have read online I have to boot my phone directly from fastboot because if I boot it normaly the xiaomi recovery will overwrite twrp and MIUI will force it go back to original recovery(from which you can't root the phone). But I can't boot it from fastboot because I get this unknown error I don't know how to fix. Fastboot boot twrp.img does not work as you can see.

I managed to solve the issue. First I tried to boot it up by pressing + sound button while typing "fastboot reboot" in cmd at the same time, that did not work, I would just got a black screen. Turns out the twrp was not good, so I downloaded a different one and it worked out.The one I took was from herecalled "twrp-3.5.2_10-3-lime-brigudav.img"

Something you can do is to try and get a working adb shell once you're in twrp and use adb pull to copy everything from your phone's memory to your pc, or you can just do backups with twrp. That's how I did it before flashing another ROM at least.

Thank you for your help, but I just fixed it. Because I installed twrp, I was able to access the files on my phone, through my pc (dont know why it didnt work before) and I recovered everything I needed. Though for some reason, I was only able to flash twrp using FWUL (a linux environment with a lot of android tools)

Well, the problem was that my phone would always keep shutting down when in fastboot mode, the mi flash tool thought it was still flashing, not giving me any error. Also no my phone isn't rooted and yes I unlocked the bootloader long ago (came with some unofficial version of miui, that wouldnt get any updates, so I had to flash the proper version).

But now everything is fixed. I ended up installing twrp using FWUL, like I said before. From there, I could just wipe the device and flash the rom using twrp

I used this method but not worked.

I change my password to old. but twrp not restored. I get same error.

Then i delete all 999 (dual apps) in my backed up twrp images then it restored. but i lost all dual apps applications.

Is there any way to restore twrp backed up dual apps?
