In 2012, a Monster Jam monster truck sponsored by Monster Energy debuted in El Paso, Texas, with Damon Bradshaw driving. A second truck was introduced in Las Vegas at the Monster Jam World Finals in 2015, and is driven by Coty Saucier and Steven Sims.

The design was created by McLean Design, a California-based strategic branding firm. The logo is composed of a vibrant green "M", composed of three lines on a field of black. The "M" is stylized in such a way as to imply that it is formed by the claws of a monster ripping through the can.[56]

Monster Beverage Corporation has been criticized for its policy of indiscriminately suing companies or groups that use the word monster, the letter M, or the word beast in their marketing for trademark infringement, despite such trademarks being generally dissimilar or distinguishable from Monster's. The words monster and beast have existed in the English language since the 13th century,[83][84] with the Latin letter M tracing back to the 7th century BC. By 2019, the company has initiated over a thousand trademark cases that have been reviewed by the US court system or US Patent and Trademark Office's (USPTO) Trademark Trial and Appeal Board,[85] making them a poster child for "trademark bullying" which the USPTO defines as "a trademark owner that uses its trademark rights to harass and intimidate another business beyond what the law might be reasonably interpreted to allow."[85][86]

Examples of such lawsuits include the 2009 ones against Bevreview.com, a beverage review site that published an unfavorable review of the Monster Energy drink,[87] Rock Art Brewery from Vermont that marketed a beer named "Vermonster",[88] and the aquarium hobbyist site MonsterFishKeepers.com in 2012.[89] The "Vermonster" case was even brought up by Senator Patrick Leahy in a study of problematic trademark litigation tactics.[86] Monster Beverage dropped the lawsuit against the microbrewery due to the adverse publicity the lawsuit generated.[90]

I am so happy with the way this turned out. So there is this board game that comes with a lot of dice sets for the monsters. My friend that owns the game and I play with hated the flimsy paper boxes the dice came in but loved the plastic trays inside. So he asked if I could whip something together and man did I deliver.

Cookie Monster evolved from a monster created by Jim Henson for a General Foods Canada commercial in 1966. This character advertised the snack foods Wheels, Crowns, and Flutes along with two other monsters and was known as the Wheel Stealer. The Wheel Stealer continued to evolve as he appeared in an IBM commercial and on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1967. He eventually made his way to Sesame Street after losing his teeth. Once there, he gained his love of cookies and the name Cookie Monster by the second season.

I have always read this not simply as a statement that Adam was tracking Victor, but that he was studying the process by which his kind is made. Remember how easily he learned to speak? This would mean that the act of creating one sterile companion for Adam could have enabled him to make more.

The 'monster' is made out of various body parts, either those collected fresh from the graveyard or those that were stored for future use. The good doctor makes repeated references to his "materials", this being his own coy expression for the body pieces he's harvesting from corpses.

It was indeed but a passing trance, that only made me feel with renewed acuteness so soon as, the unnatural stimulus ceasing to operate, I returned to my old habits. I collected bones from charnel-houses and disturbed, with profane fingers, the secrets of the human frame. In a solitary chamber, or rather cell, at the top of the house, and separate from all the other apartments by a gallery and staircase, I kept my workshop of filthy creation......The dissecting room and the slaughterhouse furnished many of my materials;

There are many qualities one must possess to be a working writer or artist. Talent, brains, tenacity. Wealthy parents are good. You should definitely try to have those. But first among equals, when it comes to necessary ingredients, is selfishness. A book is made out of small selfishnesses. The selfishness of shutting the door against your family. The selfishness of ignoring the pram in the hall. The selfishness of forgetting the real world to create a new one. The selfishness of stealing stories from real people. The selfishness of saving the best of yourself for that blank-faced anonymous paramour, the reader. The selfishness that comes from simply saying what you have to say.

On January 26, 2009, I gave my two weeks notice at my job. It was a very, very bad week for me and I was at an all-time low in my life. I drank those green monsters every single morning despite everything going on. I imagined that I was Popeye with superhuman strength. And boy did I need it.

Hello my names Benjamin and this morning I made a green monster in your oh she glows cookbook and green monster taste SOOO good! not this one a little different one on page 67 on book. and Im a ten year old boy but Im gonna be 11 soon but when I made in i made a mistake was put to much cinnamon so I added more ice and protein powder so the taste turned more normal. when i gave some to my older brothers they loved it!

The concept of a monster that presents as a single entity, but is composed of a multitude of worms, bugs, or insects can be found in many media. Examples of this type of monster include The Nightmare Before Christmas's Oogie Boogie, Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Worm Guy, and the character Arclo in Brandon Sanderson's Edgedancer.

Swarms and hive minds may act as one, but do not pretend to be a singular entity. "Colony organism" comes close, but this term from biology lacks the villainous air of a monster. The term I'm looking for would specifically describe an assemblage of simple (usually disgusting) lifeforms that are guided by a (mostly) singular intelligence and intentionally masquerade as something more complex, usually with evil intent. Is there a specific mythological name for such a creature?

I am not aware of a similar equivalent term from classical mythology, but you could argue this to be inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos. One interpretation of the ending to HP Lovecraft's The Festival is a monster composed of maggots:

This paper discusses the genesis of the famous story of Frankenstein which arose from a dream experienced by Mary Shelley whilst on a holiday shared with her husband Percy Shelley, Lord Byron, Dr Polidori and her step sister Claire Clairmont. The novel relates how the creature created by Victor Frankenstein horrifies him, is rejected by him and called a monster. The monster's ensuing despair and subsequent murderousness is eloquently described. The whole book is clearly connected to Mary Shelley's experience as an infant whose mother died after giving birth to her and her subsequent loss, as a mother, of her own new born infant. It is suggested that the novel imaginatively describes what it is to have been primarily rejected as an infant and to feel regarded as a monster.

I love these! Saw them at a target and was really interested in the monster cookie flavor - I love oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. The energy ball recipe is really good and makes for a nice summertime treat when it's too hot to bake. Definitely gonna be buying again!

This cake is so much fun because it includes chocolate chips inside, and it also includes chocolate chip cookies outside. [Monster voice] COOOOKIEEES. I made a batch of mini chocolate chip cookies using my recipe for mini M&M cookies, just subbing mini chocolate chips for the mini M&Ms. These are perfect for adding around the Cookie Monster cake, and also perfect for little cookie monsters to eat!

I loved this recipe. I made the cake and cupcakes. I used the recipe for the cupcakes and they came out great. Loved it so much going to use the recipe to do my Easter Bunny cake. I also made the mini chocolate chip cookies they were also delicious.

Although the original meaning was a clay or mud figure brought to life by magic, because the meaning has been extended to a robot or automaton -- or a blockhead! -- I see no reason why it cannot also be extended to a being made from the body parts of dead people.

I don't think there is a generic term. This is why, when something is metaphorically stitched together from disparate parts in a monster-like way, it is often described as "like Frankenstein's monster" or as "a Frankenstein" (with the common confusing of the two). If there were a common generic term, people would sometimes use it in this situation.

According to the description in the Monster Manual, a shadow is made from... the literal shadow of the creature from which it was born. Of course, that doesn't make sense for any number of reasons, but the game does not attempt to simulate reality. Given that we can't really infer anything from this, we must look at the shadow's stat block.

We broke the news about this one just recently about this one, but since then a few more official details have come out. For instance, Head of Franchise Design, Andrew Laws spoke about the hardest monster they had to create for the series so far and it sounds like the Flesh Monster:

Ever wondered what to do with all those single gloves? Turn them into Glove Monster Softies! These are one of my FAVORITE crafts E.V.E.R.! No joke. These little glove monsters are so fun to make and they were a HIT with my boys! {as you can probably tell from the pictures!} My boys have had a blast playing with them. Which made for a super fun photo shoot.

I am not sure if you already did this with the children, but, I thought I could help with the brainstorming. You know better than I what your school kids are capable of handling, plus not knowing how many children you have in your classroom, things could get overwhelming. With that being said, I know that they have plastic sewing needles out there for children from the age 3 and up which are very safe. You could use felt for the eyes and fabric glue as Linda suggested. If you still are not sure about the sewing part, you could have the kids stuff the gloves and glue the felt on and then you (sorry, teachers have to take on a lot ;-) ) could do the sewing for them. I do not believe this could be a one day project for children that age, but, kids now a days are very smart so you never know. This is such a precious project. My babies are 41, 36 and 23 and I have no grandchildren, although I am still going to make these as they make me happy and smile!!! I hope you will have or had fun if you made these!! Smiles! e24fc04721
