InshAllah you are all doing well. I'm a born native Arabic speaker who's been wishing to start hidfh, however, as I was raised in the West my Arabic reading skills aren't the best and I mainly rely on my speaking abilities. I've been wanting to start hifdh on my own for a while now but I have been discouraged due to my lack of knowledge of tajweed. I'm worried that if I memorise the surah's wrong then I won't be able to rememorise them. Sadly rn I'm not sure I can find a Quran teacher, so it's mainly me in this endeavour. I have already found and tried tajweed resources.

My current go-to reciter is Mishary Rashid Alafasy, but recently I've been having thoughts that he's too melodious as he was a singer afaik. As a non-arab myself, I need a reciter that has the best pronunciation (makharij) and tajweed for a role model.

From learning the rules of noon sakin and tanween, meem sakin, and Qlaqalah, each type of Tajweed rule adds a unique dimension to the recitation, enhancing the rhythm and eloquence of the Quran. Read below to learn more about the different types of tajweed.

Qalqalah is an Arabic word that means shaking or vibration, and in tajweed, it refers to the echoing or bouncing sound produced in certain Arabic letters when they are in a state of Sukoon. These letters are known as the Qalqalah letters, and they include  (Qaf),  (ta),  (ba),  (jeem), and  (dal). Qalqalah is also applied in those letters when they come at the end of a word and the reciter stops recitation at this point.

Shaykh Sameh has completed the memorization of the whole Quran (hafs), Alhumdulillah at the tender age of 8. Over the years, Shaykh Sameh has received several awards in recognition of his recitation. He later graduated from the University of Al-Azhar, Faculty of Language and Translation. He then served as Imam of the Grand Masjid in Riyadh from 2006-2011.

From 2014-2018 he taught Quran and tajweed in the faculty of Islamic Sciences (E-Learning), Al Azhar University.

Just a side note, this questioning hamzah not only affects the hamzatul wasl, but it also acts upon the same concept of the madd badal tajweed rule. Note the first and last examples are also madd al-laazim kalimee muthaqqal, whereas the 2nd example is the madd al-laazim kalimee mukhaffaf.

Both types of madd laazim harfee only apply to those chapters in the Quran that start with letters. Some of these surahs include Surat Al-Baqarah, Surat Maryam, and Surat Qaaf. Each surah begins with letters that have a special case, all of which the al-madd al-laazim tajweed rule covers.

But why does Izhar exists? al Izhar tajweed is the rule of pronouncing the letters of Izhar clearly when it comes after Noon Sakinah or tanween, it is how the letter is actually pronounced. Unlike the Idgham which needs conditions to be used.

There are three types of izhar in tajweed. Learning Tajweed rules is essential to read the holy Quran correctly without any mistakes. One of the most important rules is Izhar, and here are its different types: e24fc04721
