The qwerty thing, yes, that. I try to touch my mouse as little as possible on my desktop but the lack of keyboard makes my head spin in sunvox. I know at one point it didn't support BT qwerty keyboards. Did that ever change? That would definitely help me get back to my 1992 Scream Tracker happy place. LSD might help too but I'll stick with a keyboard for now.

Love it. Love it. Great to sequence other apps with. Love the parameter automation you can pull off on a per line basis. Easy to do on fx apps such as Carmel or AUFX. What more, Sunvox can go in all slots in AB. Meaning I can sequence my synths, route it through sunvox fx (of which there are a plethora..and you can design your own too), then route that though the AB output, automating the effect I have loaded there. Absolutely nuts!

Sounds without VSTs. This is a weakness of renoise - Most people prepare sample kits. You can do some basic wavetable style synthesis by drawing waveforms (I often do this in sunvox as well). There are a few renoise tools which do some basic synthesis, but to be honest, these are useful hacks rather than cutting edge solutions.

Also sampling in sunvox was a bit clunky. The sampler in renoise seems so much more powerful. Is it similar in terms of the basics? I love how Sunvox just puts the sample across the keys in every pitch for example.

as @Servandob mentions you could do this with a simple PD patch, and have pd running at the same time as sunvox.

(becareful, iirc, by default mother host will kill pd when it launches script - so might be necessary to launch it manually as well as sunvox)

which is better?

well pd is simpler, and possibly you could have fun creating different pd patches to go with sunvox.

however, it will consume cpu - so a separate process that listens to osc messages and creates midi would be leave more cpu for sunvox.

(not sure if sunvox is multi core - if not, then this doesnt matter much!)

Can anyone help? The situation is this, I want to send midi signals to the sunvox, but for some strange reason the sunvox does not accept signals from Orca-c and Orca JS, but the web version running in Firefox works fine. What could it be related to? I use JACK as a virtual midi cable. 2351a5e196
