The only US craft distillery-produced Spirits Advent Calendar features 24 - 50ML bottles of HDC's award-winning spirits including vodkas, gins, whiskeys and rum. Starting December 1, count down to Christmas by popping open the square for the day and seeing what is inside. Products in each calendar are randomly placed so you'll be surprised and delighted each day of December.

Each spirit brand is reviewed on the basis of mixability; balance and versatility; taste, mouthfeel, and finish. Once the blind tasting is done, spirits are further rated by price and package. Top bartenders within the industry review all blind tasting samples, ensuring that every entrant receives unbiased consideration by top influencers within the industry.

We offer a full selection of our artisan spirits for you to take home as well. Select from our two brandys, three types of Red Cedar vodka, two gin varieties, four whiskey profiles, and two aged bourbons in 375 ml bottles. We also offer White Pine Wines from White Pine Winery, in St. Joseph, MI, as well as a selection of merchandise and gift baskets.

The purest local ingredients, sourced from our community, have earned our spirits multiple awards and recognitions over the years. The quality of our spirits reflects our commitment to the community and to our agriculture partners.

Molly Brown Bourbons are true "Grain to Glass" spirits. We start with whole grains grown on the fertile Colorado plains by our farming partners, Root Shoot Malting, in Loveland, Colorado. By keeping every step of the Bourbon production process in house, we are able to produce an exceptional spirit. We mill our own grain to ensure the freshest mash, then ferment and distill on the grain to develop the richest and most complex flavors possible. Only the smoothest portion of the heart of the distillation is chosen to be aged in full size 53-gallon new American charred oak barrels. Each mature barrel is individually sampled then selected to be bottled once its flavor has been deemed to meet our stringent guidelines. To ensure the most robust flavor, our Bourbon is never chill filtered, and proofed with only pure Rocky Mountain water before being bottled. Our spirits are sourced from suppliers around the world to keep your business stocked with the drinks your customers demand, from the classics to boutique producers. Spirits are made by distilling fermented beverages which increases their alcoholic strength. Whereas wine ranges from 8-20% alcohol, spirits are typically 40-50% alcohol or higher. The common alcoholic measurement for spirits is proof, which is twice the percentage by volume. I.e. a spirit with 40% alcohol is 80 proof.

A pass-through entity (partnership, S-Corporation, LLC, general partnership, trust, etc.) may apply the distilled spirits tax credit against the LLET on its Kentucky Income and LLET Return and pass the credit through to its partners, members, or shareholders in the same proportion as the distributive share of income or loss is passed through with the ordering of the credits under KRS 141.0205.

A sole proprietor reporting business income on Schedule C (federal Form 1040) may claim the credit for distilled spirits under the business name. An individual may claim the credit if it is passed through to them from a partnership, LLC, or S-Corporation on a Kentucky Schedule K-1.

(a) Construction, replacement, or remodeling of warehouses or facilities;

(b) Purchases of barrels and pallets used for the storage and aging of distilled spirits in maturing warehouses;

(c) Acquisition, construction, or installation of equipment for the use in the manufacture, bottling, or shipment of distilled spirits;

(d) Addition or replacement of access roads or parking facilities; and

(e) Construction, replacement, or remodeling of facilities to market or promote tourism, including but not limited to a visitor's center.

Businesses that owe spirits taxes to the department are required to report those taxes on their monthly tax returns using the department's online e-filing system. The spirits sales tax and spirits liter tax are reported on the Other & Quantity section of the return on My DOR. Your payment options include electronic funds transfer, e-check, and credit card. On-premises licensees pay the lower SST and SLT rates when purchasing spirits. Purchases of spirits by licensees such as: off premises, distributors, spirits manufacturers, or importers are exempt from spirits taxes.
