You link it to your park ticket or Magic Key pass so that the MagicBand can be used for park admission and to redeem Lightning Lanes with Genie+ or other services, such as scanning in for Disability Access Service (DAS). It makes acquiring PhotoPass images so much easier by linking the images right to your account.

There were 20 designs available at launch, but we see many new designs popping up all the time. We toadally had to have the new World of Color band with Mickey wielding his magic paintbrush! And then a Winnie the Pooh band appeared! Some designs are exclusive to Disneyland. Magic Key holders can purchase a specially designed MagicBand+ that has a unique light-up sequence. Once you are set up, updated and linked, you can manage your MagicBand+ through the Disneyland app. You can reassign a ticket or Magic Key pass to your band at any time or unlink it if you need to. When you tap a MagicBand from your list of linked bands, you can customize, connect Bluetooth, and affect how the band lights up and vibrates. It's also where you can see if you need to perform any updates.

There will be magical touches to certain entertainment at Avengers Campus. Our MagicBands vibrated and glowed red when Spider-Man flew through the air. Our bands also lit up and vibrated during certain moments during Dr. Strange: Mysteries of the Mystic Arts. Our bands also lit up unexpectedly at times throughout the day and even on some rides! We used it to tap in to redeem our virtual queue for entrance to World of Color at night.

In rare cases, there may be times when you might want to pull out your phone to scan in a particular ticket you plan to use if you are a person who hoppens to have a variety of Multiple Experiences passes in the app.

If you do have some Lightning Lanes as well as multiple experiences in your app, use caution when redeeming. I once had a Soarin' Lightning Lane and a Multiple Experiences pass I planned to use for Guardians after I rode Soarin'. I accidentally tapped my band twice at Soarin'. It redeemed my Soarin' Lightning Lane and then redeemed my Multiple Experiences pass. When I went to Guardians, I no longer had a pass to use. Luckily I explained what must have happened to the attendant, and she looked up my history and let me in.

Yes! At Disneyland, you can assign a MagicBand+ to any ticket or Magic Key pass on your Disney account. You can reassign a MagicBand from a ticket or pass to a different one in your app. You can also unlink it from your account and link it to a different account. This is different from Disney World, where the MagicBand is linked to a person and cannot be unlinked. You can assign and link or unlink MagicBand+ in the MagicBand+ section on the Disneyland app.

You can, however, link more than one MagicBand to a particular pass or ticket. It's super easy to reassign a MagicBand to a different admission type. I have three bands assigned to my ticket at the moment, so I can use either one. If I bring a friend or family member, I can reassign one of the bands to them for the day and then later reassign it back to my ticket with a tap on the app.

I'm hoping you may have an idea on this. My wife and 2 daughters and I all have our own magic bands. We love them. We visited Disneyland last October and we played the Batuu bounty hunting quite a bit and each got anywhere between 6 or 7 bounties. We are headed there again tomorrow and discovered last night that my wife's magic band is now broken. One of the charging contacts on the back came off, so we cannot charge it. Do you know if the Batuu bounty hunting is linked to the magic band or the app? I am thinking the magic band because the 4 of us were playing with my wife's one DisneyPlay app account. I asked a question a while back but i suddenly got another as we're leaving soon. So we arrive on the wednesday but our first park day is the thursday. my plan is to get our magic bands the wednesday and set them up and link them etc. So am i correct that if i do this, i can use my magic band when we first go to enter the park on the thursday? or do you need to use the physical tickets i printed (or the ones on my phone) the very first time and then use the magic band the next times i enter throughout my stay? You can link the MagicBand+ to both (without having to unlink anything) since they're separate apps. At Disneyland, a MagicBand+ is linked to a specific ticket (or annual pass), while at Disney World, it's linked to a specific MDE account.

How would magic bands work for this? Would I just get a magic band? Could I get one for each member of my party, but how do I separate/link their ticket to their own band? So we can all scan individually ? e24fc04721
