I've tried learning the new remote in Apple TV > Home Cinema Control > Volume Control, but it does not recognise the Hisense remote volume at all (progress bar doesn't move during the learning steps). Volume Control is set to Auto via IR (TV).

I just got my Nvidia Shield Pro yesterday, and it is awesome, except that I can't get any sound volume control. I went to the parameter menu to set the IR control, the Nvidia Shield detect that the TV is an HiSense automatically, then it tries multiple methods to get TV sound control while telling me to not touch the Shield remote and asking me if the TV sound notification appear (surprise, surprise, it does not). So, none of the methods worked, oh, and as it is IR I aimed at the TV with the Shield remote, is that any useful?

when you pair the remote with the TV. The remote stops sending the IR signals and starts using Bluetooth (RF) to control the TV. This is also true for the volume signals. So this is the reason why your remote stops controlling the play base after the pairing is done.

You can get an inexpensive IR remote from almost any store that sells remotes. Just make sure it lists support for Roku TVs. You can also get a Roku directly from Roku, but that will take longer. It also appears Hisense sells replacement remotes on their web site. I couldn't look up the exact remote, as they want the complete model number of the TV. But that of course would take a little time. The universal IR remote you should be able to pick up immediately, except of course tomorrow being Christmas you might not find many stores open.

All Roku TVs will support any of the Roku Voice remotes. You may be able to find these locally at Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, etc, or of course at Amazon. Also, Roku TV remotes from any Roku TV manufacturer can be used with a Hisense Roku TV.

+1 on the 7935 universal remote, works for All Roku except streaming stick. Only issue is to get volume/mute buttons to work for Streambar you need to have an existing remote to "learn" from, and the Roku needs to be powered off to enable that (and the learn process is fiddly, took me several attempts to make it "take" properly).

Hey there Mr_Mezzy,

I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to figure out that remote issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out! Let me just ask, is Hisense not available as an option, or does the option for Hisense not work? Either way, what has worked for users in the past is searching up TV remote codes and finding a brand that shares the same code as their TV.

No, I still haven't gotten the remote issue to work. Hisense is available as an option, but none of the (16) codesets work. I looked up Hisense in the TV remote codes that you sent me, and Samsung is the only other TV that I found that uses 1249 as the code. So I tried setting up my remote by using the Samsung TV codes, but none of those worked either. Any other ideas how I can get this working?

No setup required for most Hisense televisions, simply insert the batteries and start using it. It features full learning function allowing you to add any function from any other remote control. Supports all Hisense TVs including Plasma, LCD and LED models.

I recently purchased a Hisense 55Q9G TV (2020 model). Pairing the the Slimline 2 remote was relatively quick after trying out the first few codes. ALL the buttons on the remote function as they should with the exception of the volume up/down button. I tried every four digit code I could find online with no resolution. I contacted Telus support, Telus support walked me through what I already knew but I still have a non-functional volume control. I contacted Hisense Canada and they provided me with a few more codes but volume button still not working. Thinking the button on the remote had suddenly failed between switching TV's, I tried out a new in package remote and repeated the exercise, still no joy.

You can scan for codes (see steps 9,10) to see if another manufacturer code will control your TV. If that fails your only recourse is a true universal remote like a Logitech harmony. The database is continually updated and you simplly update it via usb.

It's certainly possible that there's no code for your new model TV, though it's also possible that a code exists but hasn't been associated yet with your model of TV. You can check that for yourself, but it's a long-winded process which involves cycling through all the codes held on your remote to see if one works. If you want to do that:

Press and hold the TV and Rewind button for 10 seconds which will factory reset the 360 remote. After the factory reset, try pressing TV and 0 button for 10 seconds and it should now force pairing.

It might re-pair to the TV automatically. I am pretty sure that the 360 won't be connecting by Bluetooth to the Sony. If resetting the remote doesn't remove the Sony you try a factory reset of the 360.

I have found one solution though, powering off the TV from the wall and powering it back up after some time, then re-pairing the remote with virgin box helps allow the volume controls to work again, and so far so good.

What i have noticed though, when the remote is working, when accessing the 360 settings menu for Audio & Video, the bottom option is listed as "Pair remote to audio system" as this options wording changes when the remote stops controlling the volume on the TV.

When the remote is working, when accessing the 360 settings menu for Audio & Video, the bottom option is listed as as this options wording changes when the remote stops controlling the volume on the TV.

When you see the message "Pair remote to audio system" next to the pair remote with devices option, is there another option below there (Volume keys control) ? If so clicking on that should switch the volume control between the TV and the phantom Sony amp. Make sure your TV name is shown there and then press the back button on your 360 remote (just above the volume buttons)

On one hand, you can take an extra licensing fee to radio and TV electrican on an extra device.

On the other hand, it would be good to avoid to get into service with your butt, by sitting on the remote.

Brute forcing service menu entry codes will most likely not help unless on something like BEKO because you need either a specific combination/sequence on normal remote to access service or on other devices like Samsung where you have a specific IR command for service you need to use it in sequence.

Having an extra or replacement Hisense remote control on hand can help save your sanity by ensuring control of your home entertainment devices is never more than an arm's reach away. With the touch of a few buttons, your smart TV remote is the perfect tool to transform the atmosphere in your home. Many affordable options can be found on eBay.

The replacement remote will work with a variety of models and devices. Most smart TV, LCD, and LED hardware should be covered. Here is a short list of model numbers for which you can find replacement remotes on eBay:

Setting up a replacement Hisense TV remote is an easy and simple process. First, acquire compatible replacement hardware online. You can compare trusted sellers by reading through recent customer feedback to determine the best company to purchase a replacement from. Then, you'll need to program the original Hisense remote codes for your TV's specific make and model, which should be found in your original Hisense remote control manual. If you have discarded or lost your original manual, you can typically find copies on the manufacturer's website. You can also download the Hisense remote control app for Android to manage your home entertainment system from your smartphone or to help program a new remote.

One of the most common reasons why a Roku remote may stop working are dead or faulty batteries. So, the first step is to check if the batteries are charged and placed correctly. Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote and replace the old batteries with new ones. Make sure they are inserted correctly according to the polarity markings.

If the batteries are not the issue, check the connections between the remote and the Roku device. When it comes to remotes using infrared light connection (you will recognize them by a lack of a pairing button inside the battery compartment), they need to have a direct line of sight with your Roku device. With RF radio wave-based remotes, simply ensure that there are no obstacles between your TV and the remote, such as furniture or walls.

If none of the above steps work, you can use the Roku mobile app as an alternative remote. Download and install the Roku app on your smartphone or tablet, and connect it to the same WiFi network as the Roku device.

Amazon offers a range of Roku remotes at competitive prices, with options for both the standard Roku remote and the more advanced voice-enabled remote. Plus, with Amazon Prime, you can take advantage of free and fast shipping, so you can get your new remote delivered to your doorstep in no time.

What to do if you have an LG TV remote app or a Samsung TV remote app and your Roku remote is not working? You can still use your Samsung or LG, however, you will have to forfeit Roku features and use the native interface, functions and apps on your TV.
