This doesn't happen with any other programme, but Office has been acting up weirdly on my PC and getting slower and slower. Reinstalling never helped. Can't figure out why. I just encountered this problem myself with a fresh Windows 10 installation. It affected only Excel of all my Office 2013 suite, no other apps. I use both a Bloody Hand gaming mouse (wired USB) and a Logitech wireless mouse on this laptop depending on where I am. I noticed the problem while using the wired USB mouse. I uninstalled the Logitech Setpoint software and the problem went away.

If you generally use Microsoft document formats, Office Online is a brilliant choice. Unlike Google's free office suite, it doesn't need to convert your files before you can work on them, and you can share them easily through your Microsoft OneDrive account. Just log in using your Microsoft account (the same one you use to log into Windows 10) and you're ready to go.

The suite contains six programs to cover every common office task: Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Math and Base. The last three are tools you won't find in many other free office suites, and are designed for vector diagrams, mathematical functions and databases, respectively. The latter is particularly useful; free alternatives to Microsoft Access are hard to find.

Before you can assign, monitor, configure, or protect apps, you must add them to Intune. One of the available app types is Microsoft 365 apps for windows 10/11 devices. By selecting this app type in Intune, you can assign and install Microsoft 365 apps to devices you manage that run Windows 10/11. I didn't catch the change in time to block the install with a profile, and about a dozen Macs picked up the Defender component with an Office suite install. I've fixed the go-forward issue, but cleaning up the Macs that got Defender doesn't seem as straight forward as the mentioned

Though I don't remember doing it, at some point I must have launched the Defender.app. I did a wipe/rebuild of a test box, installed the Business Pro suite and there isn't a Defender path in the Application Support directory or any of the other stuff I'd found. I do have the start of a script digging out all the stuff, so I'll probably finish it out, but it does look like just the rm -Rf of the /Applications/Microsoft Defender.app path looks like it'll do the trick.
