Use XeLaTeX, as that is the best way to get the script to render properly. I've had trouble with LuaLaTeX; i.e. it would not render the script properly. My firefox browser can't shown the correct myanmar unicode script when I type in google page and other websites also shown the wrongly font scripts that are unable to read. I'd asked to google and they said it is the font rendering problem and advice ask to your team for help. Please take a look and advice me how to fix it. I just learned from Michael Kaplan's Microsoft internationalization blog, Sorting it all Out, that Windows 8 now includes a keyboard layout form the Burmese / Myanmar language and also a very nice looking Burmese / Myanmar font.

Often for a font to work well in a given OS the OS's rendering system (Uniscribe in the case of Windows) needs to specifically support the script / writing system. This is especially true if the script uses OpenType / FreeType features uncommon in previous scripts and/or fonts.

Myanmar MN and Myanmar Sangam MN will never work in Affinity applications because they are Apple fonts which use Apple's non-standard font tables instead of standard OpenType tables. Affinity applications only support standard OpenType.

That's helpful to know that it was typed correctly. While there is some dispute about fonts, the current rendering doesn't work for either one :) The place names have already been typed using the official Unicode mapping, so the only problem is getting the correct font. One solution is to use a common web font that does have space, although I'm open to other suggestions. (I'd prefer not to have to put in dummy spaces).Robo Slab happens to do this nicely, but Not sure how common it is.

Adding an extra space is the only fully portable answer, as even common fonts are only guaranteed on specific operating systems. Look-alike fonts are not guaranteed to look alike in minor details like underscore spacing. Not all clients support web fonts. 006ab0faaa
