When the wind of the Spirit blows upon a near-dead church, it can blow life back into that congregation again. When all of our organizing is done and is nearly perfect, yet we still lack power, it is the wind of the Holy Spirit that can blow strongly upon us and cause a vision or organization to come alive with the life of God.
I love this poem! Gives one strength and hope. I lost my dear husband and lifelong love of 49 years November 2021. It was an accidental death and so in an instant my entire world changed. I have never been strong and confident on my own, we were strong together. Like the mighty oak I am learning to endure harsh winds and be grounded in what God has planned for me.

The scientists discovered the winds blow in relatively thin weather layers no more than 600 miles (1,000 kilometers) deep on both planets. For comparison, Neptune is about 30,600 miles (49,250 km) in diameter, while Uranus is approximately 31,500 miles (50,700 km) wide.
Next time you feel the wind blowing in your face, or the next time you see the wind blowing the trees around, or the next time you hear the sound of the mighty rushing wind, think of your God and His Spirit that came to this earth to take up residence in your heart and in mine.

Last week I stood outside with my family just as a summer thunderstorm was popping up. The first indication of the impending storm was a change in the wind. We felt the wind kick up around us, blowing with a fresh fervor in a new direction. Then the sky grew darker and thunder rumbled. We ran inside just as the first drops fell. It actually proved to be quite an intense experience for my young children to feel, hear, and see the oncoming thunderstorm. Typically the kids find themselves in the safety and comfort of the house as a storm approaches rather than outside in the midst of its onset. But today was different, what they felt firsthand they became captivated by. Together we huddled around the windows and watched every moment of the fierce but fleeting storm blow through.
Similarly, we find ourselves in the midst of the onset of a global revival. Can you feel it? The winds of revival have begun to blow across our globe. While the news paints a dire and somewhat hopeless picture of our current reality, the Holy Spirit is blowing with fresh fervor the winds of revival.
There is a fresh wind blowing. It is the fresh wind of His Spirit. It is not only a fresh wind to bring refreshment, healing, empowering and strengthening, this fresh wind of His Spirit is bringing a DEEP REST, a DEEP CLARITY and a DEEP stirring of what HE IS BREATHING UPON!

Strong winds can have a dramatic effect, even when it is dead calm. The tree was bent over even when the wind was not blowing. The Holy Spirit is like that. The power of the Holy Spirit is the power that God used to create the universe and is far greater than the power of a wind that can bend a tree on a hillside near Huddersfield.
About 80 people were present at the meeting, an equal number of task force members and audience members. They included many state and federal agencies, tribal government, the Governor's office, NGOs and other ocean stakeholders. Some coastal and ocean users wouldn't like to see any development off our coastline while others see some promise in increasing our renewable energy portfolio. It is not the idea of God, or a sliver of God, but the real presence of the Living God. The Holy Spirit is God, like the Father is God, like the Son is God.
