The song received critical acclaim, with many critics deeming the song as the best track on the album. Prior to its release, the song charted in many regions due to strong digital sales, which was the reason for its release. The song attained worldwide success, topping the charts in twenty-one countries including the United States, Austria, Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Iceland, Ireland, Lebanon, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Scotland, Slovakia, Sweden, as well as peaking within the top five in more than ten countries as United Kingdom, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, France, Israel, Norway, Switzerland and Spain. In the US, it became Pink's fourth number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100. It also became her third number-one on the Billboard Digital Songs chart after "So What" (2008) and "Raise Your Glass" (2010).[2] "Just Give Me a Reason" has sold more than 4 million digital downloads in the United States.[3]

"Just Give Me a Reason" features Nate Ruess from the American band Fun. Originally, it was just a songwriting session but Pink realized that she needed someone else to sing the song with her because she thought that it was more of a conversation than a one-perspective song. She asked Ruess to sing the song with her as a duet.[5]

Pink said "I was like, 'no, this is a story, this is a conversation this song' - it needs the other perspective whether it's a guy and a girl, or two girls or two guys. 'I came in and tried to convince him that this was how the conversation was going to go and it was interesting you know, he was like 'I'll just do the demo cos I don't know about duets' and I totally tricked him into doing it, and I am so glad I was able to. 'I think now he's very happy that he did it, I think it's a beautiful song and I'm really, really proud of it.[6]

Specifically the chorus reminds me of a different song, but i can't think of which song and its killing me! If i had to guess i'd say its prob a song from an indie pop band from the early to mid 2000's...thinking DCFC/Postal Service or something along those lines...idk why but for some reason thats what my gut is telling me

It is a song about second chances. It's about digging deep enough when you've reached that point when things got stale and complacent and you're ready to get out... but instead of giving in, you should fight back. To realize that you're not broken - just bent - and that you CAN learn to love again. The message is about fighting for love and realizing that even if you fell out of love, you can always fall back in love again but you have to fight for it.

She (Pink) told music streaming service Spotify: ''Sometimes [one partner] can be like, 'The way you passed me the butter this morning, I kinda feel like we're going to be over in a month and we need to talk' and he's like, 'I just passed you the f***ing butter, what are you talking about?' and that's how I felt the song should go, 'We're growing apart, you don't spoon any more, like it's all over'.''

Tell me you have enough of our love..i guess it is saying that the other is fed up in their relationship. But still, she doesn't understand why it is all happening in their somehow perfect relationship. She is still hoping for their relationship to work out..fighting for it..even it it hurts her so much..the tears..she's holding it back..cause she truly believes that they must never give up on their relationship.just give me reason..it seems that her partner isn't working to fix their relationship, perhaps he's cold hearted...but still, just a lil reason will be enough..just a lil love....and she's fine..she'll be okay even with that little reason...its not broken just bend..so she'll do all her best effort to fix it..and continue their somehow "perfect" love...yes, its not going to be easy, especially if its just one-sided...it seems to be unfair..but still hoping that its all worth it....

"This song is featured on "The Truth about Love" album and is written about the desire that someone feels when they want to hold on to a relationship which appears to be breaking down over time. Pink explains that one partner can read too much into the actions of the other, when in reality they meant nothing of the sort. She explains that "Just give me a Reason" was written for couples who have a hard time communicating and therefore feel like it is all coming to an end.

The song is a duet which features pop star Pink and Nate Ruess which was originally done as a demo and then released as a duet. Pink felt that the song would flow better and have a better meaning if it was song as a conversation between two lovers whether it is a guy and a girl, two guys or two girls. The song reflects the discord which often happens when communication is not open and the relationship begins to dissolve as a result. The line "Were not broken, just bent" reflects that with a little work and a lot of communication a relationship can be saved if both parties are willing to try to work it out"

Women often think too much into small things men do and then it snowballs , i have done this often and this sing really gets into my emotions as i have done this in my relationship, but with a little communication with my partner we "learned to love again" as i felt he was slipping away from me, and so pushed him away and so he felt i was going off of him and again its a snowball, but with communication , the love in not broken just bent, and we learned to lovee again. I quoted an article of what the song is about as this is what i thought it was, but the article said it in much better words than i could write, but this is how i interpreted the song when i first listened to the lyrics.

Puck had just defended Quinn from her boyfriend, which later rekindles their love, which is why they pick this song. They sing the song as the last song ever that is to be sung in the Choir Room. After that, Will announces that the kids present won't be able to sing in the Choir Room anymore, but that they should still sing the songs they have to sing outside of it.

These lines set the tone for the rest of the song. Pink is singing about a relationship that started off strong and promising, but somewhere along the way, things went sour. The relationship can be seen as a metaphor for the trust and vulnerability that we give to our partners.

Just give me a reason

Just a little bit's enough

Just a second we're not broken just bent

And we can learn to love again

It's in the stars

It's been written in the scars on our hearts

We're not broken just bent

And we can learn to love again

Just give me a reason

Just a little bit's enough

Just a second we're not broken just bent

And we can learn to love again

It's in the stars

It's been written in the scars on our hearts

That we're not broken just bent

And we can learn to love again

Just give me a reason

Just a little bit's enough

Just a second we're not broken just bent

And we can learn to love again

It's in the stars

It's been written in the scars on our hearts

That we're not broken just bent

And we can learn to love again

Oh, we can learn to love again

Oh, we can learn to love again

Oh oh, that we're not broken just bent

And we can learn to love again.

This song has a musical key of B Minor. Or for those who are familiar with the camelot wheel, this song has a camelot key of 10A. So, the perfect camelot match for 10A would be either 10A or 9B. While, a low energy boost can consist of either 10B or 11A. For moderate energy boost, you would use 7A and a high energy boost can either be 12A or 5A. However, if you are looking for a low energy drop, finding a song with a camelot key of 9A would be a great choice. Where 1A would give you a moderate drop, and 8A or 3A would be a high energy drop. Lastly, 1B allows you to change the mood.

Many people write simply because it feels good to bleed on paper and get it all out. In most of those instances, they have no intention of trying to get someone to record the song or even for anyone else to hear it. They just want to get stuff off their chest. Writing to process life is a great reason to write.

Discovering your true motivation and reasons for songwriting can help you figure out how and what to write. If you write for yourself, you write differently than if you are writing for others to perform. Writing for therapy is completely different than just writing to write. Many of us write for all of these reasons at one time or another. Give it some thought. Figure out what causes you to write songs and feed that reason.

The family walked the red carpet together at the 2017 MTV VMAs before the songstress accepted the Video Vanguard Award during the ceremony. Willow was dressed in a tiny three-piece suit just like her mom and dad, as they posed for photos.

I think it means that there will come a time that you'll fall out of love in the relationship, like here, the other person thinks they should let their love go because of it, but the second person thinks that if there's still love even a bit of it, (we're collecting dust but our love's enough) they can still regain what they had lost, because their love is worth it, after all they have been through. its worth the try. because it was true. the love's just hidden and forgotten because of everything that has been happening, their mind has ruled over their heart. but the other person's willing to fix it, bring it back from rust to new. they are not broken, their love's just bent, it can come back again, you can fall in love again with the same person all over again.

I can fully relate to this song, it gave me hope with my relationship. I've been with my girlfriend for almost 6 years now. and we had a very beautiful relationship now that I see it, I've forgotten yes, I almost gave up. but now I know I should fight for it. because there's still hope, and love, we're not broken, just bent. e24fc04721
