You are about to download the Install Button Unlocker 4.2 apk file for Android 4.1 and up (free Tools App): Install Button Unlocker - Fix Screen Overlay Error, This can unlock the Install button locked when install an app from the apk file.

I have installed the 1.6 software update and partition upgrade for my FP1.

It all seemed to go smoothly and my storage now shows as one drive, Internal Storage with 11GB free and 2.2GB used. I reinstalled Google Apps and restored some of my apps with Titanium Backup.

What helped me get rid of these error messages is wiping the cache partition before the Cherry 1.6 Universal Storage update (that failed to install also until I did the cache wipe). After the wipe + US update everything is fine. Use the information from the hard reset post but make sure to only do steps 1,2,3,4,10,11. Then restart.

BTW, a hard reset did some interesting things. First the Google apps were already installed, so the widget was already greyed out saying that it should be deleted. Furthermore, upon boot the normal Android configurator asked for my Google account; subsequently it seems that the FairPhone configurator removed this information,

i tried these with a couple to users, and they were able to install it without any issues. what you are referring to is, normally in apk file install, users are asked to enable unknown sources from setting before installing. This apk did not trigger that prompt, at least in the environment i tested.

Uploading to google drive makes the user see another screen with download button, but if you still prefer that then :

Use this to paste your drive link and get user to direct download no extra screen at all

If you're sure you're using the same google account which was used to purchase Poweramp, please:

- uninstall Poweramp Full Version Unlocker

- ensure you have internet connection on the phone up and stable

- install Poweramp Full Version Unlocker from Google Play Store (or website version of Unlocker for website purchases) again. Reinstalls are free.

Nevertheless, that means if I were to install on another device or even if I did a factory reset on my phone for no apparent reason, I would not be able to install full version of Poweramp which I paid for.

All software has to come from somewhere, and for this little project, I am choosing CNET as the download location. I will also include screenshots of each step so that you can follow along while you install.

Thanks for the suggestion. Your insight pointed me in the right direction. And I tried on another computer, with a fresh Google USB driver, and the phone was able to be seen to Unlock the bootloader from the GrapheneOS web installer page.

The actions below type out a 4 digit PIN 0000. Obviously, you'll need to change it to your PIN or password (clone the action for more digits/letters). In the case of a password, if it uses uppercase letters or special characters, you'll need to insert the corresponding action that clicks on Shift or the keyboard button that switches to the special characters.

This will unlock your screen and, hence, expose your phone to anyone that takes it in their hands. Use it at your own risk! For example, I only use it in cases where I know my phone is in a secure place and lock it immediately after that. Also, anyone watching your screen at the time will see the buttons being pressed and find out your PIN / Password

A couple weeks ago, I shut my 2015 MBP to allow to charge, checked on it later in the day and was greeted by a grey/black screen with a prohibitory symbol. The machine was working fine earlier in the day prior to this. I tried numerous fixes I could find online (e.g. starting up in recovery to repair disk, booting to safe mode, resetting PRAM, re-installing the OS from the internet) to no avail. I had recently installed Mojave, so I'm not sure if this had anything to do with my current problem. Much of the things I tried seemed to fail because the drive was locked. However, aside from the fact I never set a password lock on the drive, I am not even able to attempt to enter a password to unlock it--I cannot successfully click in the text box to enter anything. Like, nothing happens when I click in the box.

I do have a Time Machine backup from 1-2 weeks before this happened. However, the backstory is I was rehabbing a 2009 Macbook because why not and I had moved some files over from the 2009 MB to the 2015 MBP in prep for installing a smaller-size SSD in the 2009 MB. I do not have these backed up elsewhere. So, I'm hoping there is a fix without wiping the MBP drive and reinstalling from the backup. Thanks to all in advance.

You will need a fast, working Internet connection, preferably, Ethernet. If you must use Wi-Fi, you will be asked to select your network and enter the network password. This procedure will install the current version of macOS that is compatible with your model.

I believe I found it was locked in Disk Utility (the drive appeared greyed out and I was unable to mount it). It's also possible I found it was locked when trying to re-install Mojave over the internet--the drive was recognized but unable to be unlocked, so unable to have the OS installed.

A greyed out device in Disk Utility usually means it is not mounted. If Disk Utility cannot mount the drive, did you look at the details listed under the Hide Details > button? If not, then try again but this time click on the tiny arrow by Hide Details to display the errors. Post that information in your next reply. With SSDs, a locked one sometimes means it has failed or needs to be reformatted.
