hi @Zeeshan_Mehboob and welcome to WF Forum. From what I see there is problem with your Gotham font family.

Here is video with some recommendation you can check to make it work. It is definitely not macOS or iOS issue.

The main purpose that most of the people out there like this font is its uniqueness and creativity. Designers would just love to use its creative design in their projects and make them more professional and user-friendly.

If you look at the design of gotham black font then you will be able to see that it has very different variations like a person who wants to use a rounded font can easily use this font. There is a font called univers font that can also fulfill your needs or if someone wants to use a light or ultra font can also use it in their design and even make them more advanced and clean than ever before.

It is very light font for many designers and many of them always go for this font and consider it as a similar font to gotham because it has a similar appearance and will fulfill all the requirements of users that they would like to see in a specific font.

This is a second font that is going to fulfill your requirements. One of the biggest reason of using this font is to create a stylish and responsive web design. If you are a web designer and would love to design WordPress themes and templates then a font like avenir font can be an ideal choice for your web design project.

Along with it, Gotham rounded font also very popular and can be used in different web designs. If you are also looking for something unique then you can try using this font as it comes with many advanced features.

The Gotham font family was released with ten fonts and complementary italic styles, encompassing serif and sans-serif letterforms. The Gotham font family consists of eight weights with four widths: Regular, Bold, Black, and Extra Black.

but the Gotham font is only working on my computer in Google Chrome since I have the font installed locally, but when I run a VM that doesn't have the font installed then it will just use Tahoma font instead.

Webfonts can be used on a single domain. Agencies responsible for multiple websites, for example web design agencies or hosting providers, may not share a single webfont license across multiple websites.

Every time the webpage using the webfont kit is loaded (i.e, the webfont kit CSS which holds the @font-face rule is called) the counting system counts a single pageview for each webfont within the webfont kit.

We'll supply a kit containing webfonts that can be used within digital ads, such as banner ads. This kit may be shared with third parties who are working on your behalf to produce the ad creatives, however you are wholly responsible for it.

An Electronic Doc license is based on the number of publications in which the font is used. Each issue counts as a separate publication. Regional or format variations don't count as separate publications.

Designers asked if Gotham could take on new typographic roles, and we listened. Gotham Narrow reimagines Gotham as a space-efficient text face, handily succeeding in the confines of the narrow text column without looking squeezed. With the silhouette of a classic headline series, Gotham Extra Narrow is a practical choice for sizes both large and small, with an ample character set that recommends it to information-dense environments. Gotham Condensed features nine weights from Thin to Ultra, including a number of features unusual in condensed fonts, starting with matching italics in every weight.

When you use @font-face, you will have to make sure that all of the font files were uploaded into your server or else it will not exists thus will not display on other computers. So if your directory is then all of the font files should be uploaded in the WP installation {wp-root}/fonts/ folder.

you need the converted font, too.

also the -webfont.eot, -webfont.ttf, -webfont.woff.

put all together with the css into the resource-library and youre done.

i tried to convert gotham with font-squirrel, but it was forbidden.

how do your client got this font?

thanks for your response but unfortunately that did not work. It is still using Helvetica or Montserrat. The only way it work is if I put a class on each one and like this: font-family:Gotham-Book !important; That would be really time consuming to do to each text block. Please advise. I attached 2 screenshots of my code. Thank you.

As you can see you need to replace public_html with jpdigitalstudios.com which is your website URL, then you need to upload these fonts with these extensions ".eot, .woff, .ttf" to your fonts directory in the child theme.

What I advise to you is how you can apply the Gotham-Book font to your text and headline, and that is one way of doing it. We set the font-family: 'Gotham-Book' on the body so your text or headline can inherit it.

Gotham Font is a Sans-serif font created by American designer Tobias Frere Jones and Jesse Ragan. It was released in 2000 with a broad design comprising wide x-height and founded by a New York foundry, Hoefler & Co. Since its release, it has been extensively used and is visible in different notable places. Want to make something surprising then combine this typeface with The Tropical Script Font a great script typeface with an amazing ligature.

I have a subscription with Cloud.Typography, which allows me to use fonts like Gotham, Whitney, and others. I followed the instructions on their site an uploaded all of the fonts to a directory on my server:

Monotype creates brands that matter with type, technology, and expertise. The company partners with leading foundries to deliver the broadest inventory of high-quality typefaces in the world. Further information is available at www.monotypefonts.com. Follow Monotype on Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Doesn't seem to work now due to a CORS error - the font file is hosted on static.squarespace.com, and being loaded by yoursite.com. Without an Access-Control-Allow-Origin header, the font isn't loaded.

Okay, so the answer is to not upload the file using the file link method that tuanphan mentioned, but to use the button at the bottom of the custom CSS editor. Once the font is uploaded, clicking on it will insert the correct URL into your custom CSS.

Here is a link to the shop page -groundhog-6tzy.squarespace.com/shop (do you need the password?) - I would like to change the title of the thumbnail product to my custom font... I cannot work out how to isolate that particular label! I've tried lots of things but nothing has worked.

This is awesome thank you! Do you know how I can do this with 2 different custom fonts on my site? I tried to add the snippet for both and in the preview, the second font I added overrode the previous one.

Kevin, very interesting article. I note the Royal Opera House (UK) is using Gotham beautifully but using verdana on its website.

I am implementing Gotham for a client and exploring use of a substitute online via @font-face by finding such at

Not found the font yet but their font-face resources are excellent and free. Thanks

A font is a digital representation of a typeface in one size, one style, and one weight. Style is the vertical angle of the characters (normal, italics). Weight is the thickness of the characters (light, regular, bold, black) in relation to their height.

University Communications (Comms) has purchased a license to use the Gotham fonts, allowing the entire MSU community to use the fonts free of charge in any websites containing university content. Gotham fonts are owned by Hoefler and Company (website ).

For a list of acceptable fonts that may be substituted for Gotham fonts in content other than the MSU Masthead or Standard Footer, refer to typography information at The MSU Brand - Design and Visual Identity.

Gotham fonts are available to everyone but do require an installation in conjunction with a Comms developer. This process takes about 10-15 minutes. Once you have submitted the online Gotham request form, a Comms developer will contact you and provide the customized font files you will install on your web server.

The Tufts University official fonts fit a variety of communications needs for digital and print environments. These typefaces are required and complement the university logo. Each family of fonts has a large range of weights and style options, including light, medium, bold, and italics.
