in ios 16, branded live wallpapers and special ones for the iphone xs max model have completely disappeared, which is very sad, I hope that Apple developers will return live wallpapers from live photo and exclusive for that model live wallpapersand that I have already tried to put several live photos as wallpaper, but they are just like a static picture and more than one tip from apple care support did not help
Android had live wallpapers ages ago and apple is still unable to crack it. The long press in ios to animate wallpaper concept belongs to the stone age. Bored of seeing the same icons and theme in ios. I might as well switch to android as it offers loads of customization and the phone turns magical and lively. If I'm paying 1000 bucks, I want the phone screen to look how I want it not how apple wants it!

Please stop yelling, DEV knows better what you like and what is not necessary for you any more. They just remove live photo so accept it, adapt yourself to new idea bacause probably you don't understand it at all. Of course they could did a pinch gesture (android style) or L gesture or any other gesture to enable edit mode for lock screen insted of hold a touch what was a live photo start but... if they decide to remove it it's just done. Sometimes if you take out you phone from a pocket and realize that lock screen widget was changed due to self auto hold touch and random edit of lock screen, please don't scream it's a new surprise like 1st April so be smiled and happy you just get a bonus.
What the heck!? I had no idea the new iOS would remove the Live Photo wallpaper..I spent way too much time designing my own wallpaper in Photoshop and Aftereffects. It made my phone look like a sci-fi prop when pressed. It was my favorite wallpaper, and used it for years!Why would you guys get rid of the Live Photo wallpaper, WHY!?
That would mean either the iPhone SE 2nd Gen is actually supposed to have Live Wallpaper, or this article is not updated, or incorrect. I feel like it's the former; this article says "1st generation", implying that it was updated to reflect the fact that there is now a 2nd generation. If somebody went and added "1st generation" to this article upon the release of the 2nd gen, wouldn't they have mentioned that the new phone did not support Live Wallpaper?

It is weird. You can have a live wallpaper, but you cant set a live wallpaper on the se. I had a live wallpaper set on my iPhone 7 plus and i had it backed up. I used the backup on my SE(2020) and the live wallpaper works. It seems as if they want to restrict the use of live wallpapers on the se for some reason.

I have downloaded Zedge and I am trying to use some cool live wallpapers on my S24Ultra, but they don't seem to work... They always appear as a static image... Am I missing something, or have anything activated to prevent them from working? TIA!
NOTE: The latest version of Komorebi auto installs itself in your startup APPS as well. If you would prefer Komorebi to NOT automatically start after logging into your OS, click the icon bottom left of your screen, type startup, then click on startup apps.
According to ItsFoss, they claim that new LIVE wallpapers can be installed into Komobrei, but I haven't gotten that far yet. But, this just shows that Komorebi does work for me, and it was very easy to install and setup in regards to that.
Its developer hasn't twiddled and fiddled his fingers within his lines of code since 2018? Well, its Linux, open source, thats not a problem. You know how it is. Any developer who is competent at coding, can pick up the OP's Komorebi, and develop it further.
I am the opposite. I tried Komorebi and it uhh... let's just say I did not like any part of the experience. It was like wearing a straight jacket.
I find Storms method to be simple, easily modified or configured and it works every single time.
It is good that you provide options, as diversity and being different is a great part of Linux. Just because I prefer a method doesn't mean everyone else should, too.
For some of you who have their own fav wallpapers or live wallpapers....as you can see Samsung didn't give you much of a choice, their papers or none.....all the live wp's I've bought and are constantly updated would have NOT been available if I wasn't using Nova Launcher since my Note 4. Christmas HD and Haunted House HD are among my holiday favs....check out Play, they are cool....I ONLY know what I've experienced....I had a Note 5 and soon as I activated the Note 7 and signed on to Google, a popup screen came up recognizing my Note 5, and did I want to transfer from it....I also used Smart Switch .....tech supp suggested using Google backup/restore option also.....back to wp's.....by transferring all my apps along w/ Nova launchers, I imported my backed up Launchers settings and walla, LOTS of tweakings were in place. Long press the screen or the "back" icon brings up the menus available on the Note 5 and I have access to all the live wallpapers I've purchased.
Then we come to the LOCK SCREEN: no way to get past this as w/ the 5, so after 2 days of tech supp, I ended up taking a screenshot of my current live wp and since the gallery is available in the first selection item, I was able to make the lock screen to match my home screen, even though it isn't live.
The fascinating addition is the screensaver option....only 4 of my live ones were available....so when you are charging and the "clock" comes up then the next thing I see is Space HD, Ocean HD, or Haunted House HD....which is cool...but it made wireless charger process slower as there is CONSTANT movement/panning scenes...I haven't tried direct charging, which i'm doing now.....BTW, I REALLY like the fast charging stand, so much more efficient than the other and you can keep your screen in view so when a notification comes in, you don't have to pick up the phone to look...or watch a video in portrait/landscape while keeping the phone charged... fast charging stand is great 152ee80cbc
