I find minor errors in probably half the ebooks I read. Most are very minor: missing punctuation, small typos, etc. I've always just kind of assumed that by reporting the error, somebody (Amazon? Publisher? Author? Who knows?) might be able to review and fix the problem so future readers don't experience it.

After much trial and error, I found that for my titles, this came up when there were multiple languages listed in the content.opf metadata. Choosing a single language allowed Kindle Previewer to move forward.

James: Thank you. I was trying a Fixed Layout format as another option and a troubleshooting step. I have no hyperlinks or anything else in my book that would seem to warrant the Reflowable option that most users appear to recommend (based on my naive newbie experience). Unfortunately, I can't assess the results of the Fixed Layout option since I keep getting this error message from Kindle Previewer 3: "Kindle conversion has encountered an internal error while enabling Enhanced Typesetting on this book.". Do you have any ideas that would make the Fixed Layout option work? BTW, I'm only using English-US as a language preference.

Derek: Thank you, but I'm on an HP using Windows. I just performed a search of my entire computer and did not find a file called "content.opf". In addition, I checked all of my language preferences and they're all English-US. I'm getting the exact same error message as you did from Kindle Previewer 3.

James: Got it. Thanks. I just went through all of my book's individual documents and checked for the language settings. All of the paragraph styles were set to "English: USA". This was not the case for the character styles; they were all unselected (no language set). I've since changed them all to "English: USA". The same error message from Kindle Previewer 3 resulted for the Fixed Layout option. I will stick to the Reflowable option as you suggested.

James: Upon using the Reflowable option, I received EPUB error messages for some (not all) book chapters: "Page anchor is missing." Do you know what this means? I removed the Contents file from my eBook book file in case that matters. (I have a Contents file for my print book and everything seems to work fine there.)

The device that I'm having issues with is not the top of the line or the newest I think once the latest update for the app came out that our devices are just no longer supported that's why they aren't responding to the thread .Go on to the internet browser of the devices you're having troubles with and go to the Xfinity stream site instead of the app and see what that says my tablet is saying that it's no longer supported when I go to the website rather than using the app the app just keeps saying connection error connect to a network whatever

Sat on my sofa reading a technical manual (Aruba ACMA Study Guide by HPE Press). I notice a typo, it is small, insignificant, but! it jars me as I am pioneering my way through the book. I feel compelled to 'do something' about this innocuous error in the book.

I am reading this on a Kindle Paperwhite, I tap and hold on the typo, a user interface pops up and offers me the ability to 'report an error'. I hastily proceeded, described the error in a few words, hit submit and then carried on with the book.

Musing on my warm glow of achievement, I came to realise that this is an example of a true win-win feature built into the Amazon Kindle eco-system. Maybe this feedback loop catches errors and enables authors / publishers to make amendments?

I have the Fire HD8 as well, and can confirm I can reproduce this and have the exact same error code 500 when it is connected to the gateway. The instant I disconnect it, the DEVICES would work. The gateway seems confused about the FIre HD8.

After a months frustration and back and forth calls to support i came across this post. We have amazon fire tablets and after i read this i turned the internet off on those devices and it worked. I was finally able to get into my devices on the app. But as soon as the internet was turned back on the first fire tablet the error code popped back up.

Sagemcom 5688 for T-Mobile home internet gateway here, and I have no Kindle devices. I see the same 500 error in my Android internet app when my desktop PC is powered on (and no error when desktop is powered off). That PC is wired to the gateway Ethernet port.

Also experiencing an error code 500 when trying to see connected devices. Thankfully came upon this thread. Although I do not have a Kindle tablet, I DO have a Toshiba Amazon Fire TV. As soon as I disconnected it from the gateway, connected devices showed up. It appears for some reason, Amazon devices have an issue. Although multiple Alexa devices are ok.

I get the same error code when looking at the Devices tab. I unplugged my Firestick and could see connected devices. As soon as I plug the Firestick back in error code 500 is back. Hopefully T Mobile can fix this.

Just got my own Kindle Fire now and had to find the solution on my own (my problem is that I cannot download anything at all from Amazon Store, as I do not have a US card or US billing address). If I am using the native Kindle Fire mail app and try to open the attachment, I get an error "There is a problem parsing the package".

Before we get into fixing this error, you first might be wondering: what is the Kindle application error? This error occurs at various times depending on the device, so it manifests differently for different users. Some people experience it when they first open their Kindle, others experience it after buying books through the Kindle store, and still others (like me!) run into this error while browsing book options in the Kindle store.

If you own a Kindle e-reader device (including the Kindle basic model, the Kindle Paperwhite, or the Kindle Oasis), then you should follow the steps below to try to fix your application error. You may find that your issue is solved after completing the first option, or you may find that you need to try all the methods in order to fix this Amazon Kindle application error.

I recommend trying these options in the order presented and one by one (e.g., follow the instructions for the first solution and then check your device to see if you are still getting the error. If the error is gone, then you are done! But if you are still getting the error, then you will want to move on to trying the next solution). Trying the possible solutions in the order listed means you will try the least disruptive options first and then move to progressively more aggressive solutions.

Now I have a working PDF (I can see correctly on my macbook), but is bigger than 50MB, and I can't upload with send to kindle program. I compressed it and obtained a 28MB that I tried to upload to the kindle, but I didn't receive the book. I also tried with send to kindle through mail @kindle.com but I received an error response mail.

Some places on the Net suggest a way to install Google Play store on Kindle by sideloading, and that is good, but I don't think that is an effective way to get GPB on your kindle. (I recommend against it -- though I wish Google and Amazon.com can figure out a solution....)

I tried all of the above referenced resolutions with no success. I ended up de-registering kindle, then registering again. I could instantly access books without error. I de-registered by opening the Kindle app, then clicking on the settings button in lower right of iPad screen. Click on the setting option, then "this device is registered to....". Then de-register. Hope this helps!:)

Interestingly, in the built-in "Silk" browser, I can visit both -isrgrootx1.letsencrypt.org/ and -isrgrootx2.letsencrypt.org/ without error, even though the isrgrootx2 site wouldn't be serving the cross-sign.

My Kindle is still showing this error message since early June 2021 update. The post here in help center indicates that this problem has been resolved. I did receive a manual upload & an automatic upload, but none of these software updates have fixed the issue for me. I even cleared the cache and removed & reinstalled the game. Please help! Thank you!

Here, you'll see three main categories, Text, Image, and More, each with its own subcategories, that help you specify what kind of error you want to report.

To report your selected error, select which category and subcategory it falls into and type in any comments you may have, such as any spelling suggestions or what text might be missing, and press Submit.

The Kobo has very buggy firmware. Connecting to it has been known to fail atrandom. Certain combinations of motherboard, USB ports/cables/hubs canexacerbate this tendency to fail. If you are getting an error when connectingto your touch with calibre try the following, each of which has solved theproblem for some calibre users.

If you get an error about a Python function terminating unexpectedly after upgrading calibre, first uninstall calibre, then delete the folders (if they exists)C:\Program Files\Calibre and C:\Program Files\Calibre2. Now re-install and you should be fine.

If you get an error in the Welcome wizard on an initial run of calibre, try choosing a folder like C:\library as the calibre library (calibre sometimeshas trouble with library locations if the path contains non-English characters, or only numbers, etc.)

If you get an error about a missing DLL on Windows, then most likely, thepermissions on your temporary folder are incorrect. Go to the folderC:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local in Windows Explorer and thenright click on the Temp folder and select Properties and go tothe Security tab. Make sure that your user account has full controlfor this folder.

If the file resides on a device, you may have reached the limit of a maximum of 256 files in the root of the device. In this case you need to reformat the device/sd card referred to in the error message with a FAT32 filesystem, or delete some files from the SD card/device memory. 2351a5e196
