This is the file that defines access to the backlight helper executable allowing you to change the backlight without needing to specify the root password. Try creating the file with root privileges. You may need to log out and back in again for it to take effect. You can test if polkit is processing it via the two pkaction commands above, which should return:

in /lib/NetworkManager/conf.d/20-connectivity.conf and /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/20-connectivity.conf but there were no difference. After greping my / directory I found out that the url with 404 response is hardcoded directly in /lib/gnome-shell-portal-helper file

I'm a developer who browse Apple Developer Forums.I want to ask you the question about captive portal. Now I use the WiFidog,a captive portal suite,to implement this function.I use some iPhone such as iPhone6,6s,SE,that could popup authentication page quickly(For example like attachment). However,I use iPhone7 and iPhone X that popup authentication page very slowly, which takes about 50 seconds.I guess there is the problem for Evaluate and hotspothelper. But I don't know how to solve the problem if I couldn't change the iPhone which is Customer-owned.

Now it seems that I found a solution from Apple Developer Forums. If I could kill the "wifi helper" process in the iOS task manager, maybe iOS will not call the hotspot helper of apps,.So there is no interference from other app hotspot helpers, and the timeout problem of this first connection should also be avoided.

The problem is how to manager process? How to kill the "wifi helper" process? Is there a tool that could kill IOS process easily?I use the "libimobiledevice" for development, but I am not sure whether it is effective or not.( )

With the new update, I open Safari, and it goes into the background. Which means I have to click twice on everything, my "page back" button doesn't work. This is super aggravating and needs to be fixed asap. This started happening last night.

well, that's the other weird thing. The helper on the menu bar has disappeared. My old 1Password 7 kept trying to jump in last night, so I trashed it. The newest 1Password 7 is now running, but nothing in the menu bar. I tried quitting it last night, but it didn't matter, and kept coming back. I also tried to force-quit it, but it didn't show as an option.

These days, everything works through the internet, but we don't always have the possibility to get online. This tool helps us find free wifi networks and connect to them safely, as well as other things. But how does it work?

Wifi Helper is a tool for Android devices that helps us safely connect to the wifi hotspots in the area. That is not its only function. Its main tools are the following:

In short, the download of the APK file of this app is very useful both for checking our connection data and for connecting to free or public wifi networks without running any risks. In addition, the interface is simple and modern, making it very easy to ease.

I have the newest 2020 iMac (latest Big Sur OS), connected via wifi to my google wifi router. Speeds at the router and on other devices are usually about 400mb/sec. On my iMac, after a "random" while of usage, it will drop to about 100mb/sec or less and stay that way until I reboot. (Zoom will tell me I have a bad connection, etc.) Even turning off/on my wifi doesn't help. Any suggestions? I cannot find the cause. So annoying!

When it runs it actually is very stable. But lately my Maschine is sometimes having trouble keeping the Wifi connection running. I guess it sometimes manages to reconnect quietly but more often it replies with the false statement that my wifi password is not correct. At this point I either have to reboot Maschine+ or type in the password again with that funky scroll encoder. This is super annoying when you are in a creative mindset. Especially with quite long wifi passwords.

Dear Spiceheads I'm helping a friend setup a guest wifi network for his retail shop. We expect about 300 users to be on the guest wifi everyday and also about 20 staff users. We are a bit concerned with security since staff wifi and guest wifi will be through the same AP (Unifi AP Pro), so we are planning to put guest wifi and staff wifi on seperate vlan. I'm not a pro at networking (haven't touch vlan so far) so would appreciate a little advice from you guys.

If we use different vlan for guest and staff wifi, do i need an additional router to route/DHCP? Basically we do not want guest to have access to our internal network. Currently we have a Fortigate 60D firewall to handle routing, also have isp router (EdgeMax) in bypass. We also have 2 switches, 1 basic 16-port switch and 1 24-port POE+ switch (Unifi will be connected to POE+ switch).

DHCP will have to have two scopes configured one for each Vlan and because DHCP requests are broadcasts and routers by design block broadcasts you may need DHCP helpers to to ensure the DHCP requests get passed on. How and speciffically what you need to do will be determined by what you implment and the equipment you use.

Main network is vlan 10, guest network is vlan 20. All switches have vlan 10 as the untagged vlan on all ports including the ports leading to the APs. Vlan 20 is tagged on the ports leading to APs and the ports connecting switches to each other and disabled on all other ports. I set the main wifi network on the APs to be untagged so that it will default to vlan 10 because that's what's untagged on the switch port leading to the APs. The guest wifi network is tagged vlan 20. Everything leads back to a Sonicwall router which I have DHCP turned on for vlan 20, it gives out Google's DNS servers (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) via DHCP. The main network's DHCP and DNS are our domain controllers and since the main network is all vlan 10 just like the main wifi the DCs also hand out leases to the main wifi. I've got routing disabled between the vlans so the guest wifi can only access the internet and nothing else.

Our WiFi is super-fast, free and everywhere in the hotel; brilliant for staying in touch with loved ones or just posting great memories online (remember to tag us @YOTEL). You will find multiple USB and international charging points in your room and around the whole hotel, including our co-working spaces in Komyuniti on FOUR.

I tried to test on my phone, when it was patching, I turned off the wifi, based on the logic it should skip the remaining data in the collection. But instead it kept on loading and did not stop, when I connected to Wifi again, it continued the patching process for the remaining items. This did not happen when I change Connection.Connected to a boolean variable that I control manually using a toggle.

The map is updated fairly quickly. WAY faster than the Xiaomi app! But in my opinion, it's not super useful and makes the Home Assistant interface kind of sluggish. It is still cool though! So I just have set it up and moved this to a view that I will never use ?

When I start the app with wifi connected, NSD Works Totally fine discovering the service and smoothly resolving them. But the problem arises when we connect wifi, after disabling wifi or switching the wifi from airplane mode.

So I had quite a bit of trouble figuring out why neither my Facebook pixel helper was picking up a pixel that I knew was working on my site, nor my Google Tag Manager inspector in debug mode. I had updated Chrome, went through several blogs and forums. Ultimately, it was my duckduckgo browser plugin that was blocking it for privacy reasons. Funny enough, Pixel Helper was still working on 3rd party sites, including pixelyoursite, but none of my own properties. Anyone know why this would be the case?
