what to say about enya.she is amazing.her music is amazing.it cuts right through to the core of you.im irish (although i dont live in ireland) and this song is an amazing take on traditionally irish songs.i agree with muzig on the meaning.

i think it's a about storm in africa (duh?!)....but in a metaphore.Africa, a dessert & dry country, isn't it always stormy and heavy when a rain come?because there's only small trees etc. But water is always a blessing in that dry area.

well i think this song is absolutely beautiful, whatever it means, though thankyou for the translation :) does it always matter what the meaning is though? though i tend to want to know i just love the beauty of this song, i think its really amazing. and enya is so good at capturing a feeling, this is what a storm in africa would sound like if you put it in music.
