Texture override This is another thing I love about this mod. It allowed the game to have a modder base, as it was not given at all from the start! The option enableTextureOverride will simply replace the in-game textures by the ones you will have put in the folder dsfix/tex_override. If you play the game in a higher resolution that 720p, especially, all the fonts and UI are so low-res that it hurts my heart. Luckily, the Nexus has tons of texture files: HUD, UI, armors, faces... Check them out. Side note: if you're a Nexus user, you might as well endorse the mods! I, however, have a few recommendations:

Edit: I figured I'd just try and install DSFix and see what happened. It works; unlocked framerate works, resolution override (mine is 2560x1440) works, skip start-up screens works, Ambient Occlusion works, texture override with HD Texture packs from Nexus Mods work too; it all seems to work. I installed it and tweaked the dsfix.ini file after installing DoA and applying the patch. If you are getting crashes when trying to launch a new game or saved game make sure Anti-Aliasing is turned off in the in-game settings (it conflicts with DSFix).

how dark souls loads dsfix?You just copy the files into the folder and the programm loads the stuff. Did the creators of dark souls programmed something like: "look under folder XY, and load every dll you find". But then, they need to call a function in this dll ?!

I don't know anymore why i have this question or how i come up with this. After googleing this question for some weeks (tutorials on how to mod dark souls, how dsfix works) and still with 0 results, i just ask it here ^^

1) download DSfix

2) disable in-game anti-aliasing (this causes game to render in a tiny box)

3) place the folder dsfix and the files DSfix.ini, DSfixKeys.ini and DINPUT8.dll< .strong> into the game directory - normally C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition\DATA\

4) adjust the game resolution in DSfix.ini using Notepad (for example, renderWidth 1366 renderHeight 768) 2351a5e196
