The non-refreshment occurs in any of the folders or sub-folders on the left-hand side "Folder Tree" in the directory for Users > montaguelord (my user folders versus the rest under 'Public' in the Windows Vista C:/ drive). At least for me, uninstall/reinstall always involved restarting the computer or use the tools to find out exactly what program is locking up certain files in the installation directory which is always a hassle. So at the very least, just simply deleting the GPSoftware folder in both AppData\Local and AppData\Roaming is pretty much more effective in that case. On the other hand, if you're trying to prevent "riskier" people from doing funny things in AppData and messing up their programs, then yes I understand that Uninstall/Reinstall is the best way for them to go (is that your hidden meaning haha?)

I just purchased Opus 10, saved the downloaded .txt file to my dopus directory. Nothing happened. Following instructions I then looked for the licence manager and I'm stuck.I assume the L.M. would have used the text file to go out and download Opus 10. Perhaps what I need is a clean install as if I didn't have Opus 6. Can that be arranged?

I have also used Directory opus since (at least) version 9 and I've also upgraded to 12 (might have skipped some version) and I'm also very interested to see what changes 13 will offer. But 12 is still just as superior file manager as it was when it was initially released, it receives constant quality and smaller feature updates and it works without any problems so I don't see any reason why someone wouldn't purchase it because version 13 is coming some day. The only thing that is a bit outdated is it's visual design (it has always been slightly different) which does not follow the new design language Microsoft has introduced in Windows 11 (which I personally like) but that applies to most Windows apps, including many Microsoft ones.

I searched but found nothing on this. I'd love being able to override the maximum thumbnail size in default directory view. It would really help out in my work. Is there a way to get the pictures at any size?

It is not that there is no progress. From your link to the Dopus forum there is a quote from Norton that Norton is no longer supporting the feature for third party file explorers. This was a conscious decision taken. Not a feature that was not working properly.

When you start it for the first time, Quick Access Popup checks if DOpus is installed on your computer (looking for the file [Program Files]GPSoftware\Directory Opus\dopus.exe). If it is found, it asks if you wish to enable Directory Opus integration. If you answer Yes, it records the DOpus.exe file path in the Settings, Options dialog box.
