Whenever someone comments on a shared file in dropbox, I get a red circle on the dropbox icon in the menu bar. This interrupts my workflow and I have to get rid of this feature if I want to get any work done on my computer.

I have turned off all notifications on Dropbox app and on my system preferences, but the red circle still appears. I think this is bad software development practice to circumvent system preferences (which allow you to choose which applications can show the badge app icon) by putting the red number in the menu bar (which the user has no control over).

I have now spent significant amount of time trying to find a solution to this, but I'm starting to fear it is impossible. I wish I had not updated dropbox, I have lost so much working time because of the update that introduced this red circle.

Has anyone found a way to permanently disable the red circle or to hide the dropbox icon from the menu bar completely? Is there a way to request this feature (or rather file a bug report, I can't believe the circle is there on purpose when notifications are turned off) from the dropbox dev team?

I have the same issue. For two months now there's a red circle with a 1. I've checked so many times, every single option in the menu and there's nothing. I've restarted, reinstalled and nothing gets that. This is so frustrating.

To let the other users know one of the other users has commented in the chat on that specific offer/project I need to make a facebook looking red dot with a number inside that shows the other users that they have unread comments in the chat window, and again, this should be based on each offer/project. If they go to another offer with a unique chat they should get a unique notification indicator for that specific chat.

So, I noticed that when I have more than one text notification, one of them will have a circle around it. The other is the normal text icon. The one with the circle will also be an image of the text thread. In this scenario, they are both group chats.

I have a notification badge that sometimes it is a circle but sometimes oval depending on the number that's inside it. Say i have 5 new notification then since its a small number the badge is a nice circle but if the number is 22 or 523 then it is oval. Is there a way to make this badge always a circle? I am using materialize css and my html/css code is the following:

Hey guys so for the last week or so on android mobile my triangle rewards icon lost the blue tick and now has a red circle with the number one in it,

When i click it the rewards dash still opens up as normal but dont see any notification errors or the messages.

What am i missing?

So i got my blue tick back

I had auto contribute on and it sent 0.25 bat from my uphold wallet on 21 August.

I only just received notification just now , clicked ok and back to normal lol 9 day delay but all good

Some applications will overlay some colored bubble/circle with a number to show how many unread messages/notifications or "things to do" are currently available. For instance, it's on Skype to show how many conversations have unread messages. It's also on my notifications area in Android for many things. These are just a few examples of where they're found, but many more exist.

Apple refers to them as Badges as used by the Apple Push Notification Service on iOS devices. More generally "Notification Badges" when discussed outside the context of notifications.

Anyone tinkering with iOS notifications is familiar with the term Badges to refer to these. Android apps sometimes use these to the same effect but I've heard them called varied things on that platform.

Fitbit Ionic/Samsung S8+... phone had an update and every since there is a notification on my Fitbit app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app; but it did not clear the notification. I cannot find any NEW notifications either. Help?

When I logged back in, it then showed a badge with 98 notifications! I went there and all the ones from before are there (7). I hope the issue is solved but the fact that it showed another number is not reassuring.

No; it is not on the app itself. It is a an orange circle with a 1 in the center located on the upper right of my Fitbit icon on the phone. (fyi; I started this forum message regarding the notification on my icon...) . There are no notifications within the app itself: nothing new on Dashboard, Challenges, Guidance, Community, OR Notification INSIDE the app.

I would like to be able to have my circle yaml look something like

machine: environment: APP_PATH: "testing" notify: webhooks: - url: " =$APP_PATH"

just as good engineering practice, for variable re-use and what not.

+1 for having environment variables. I did try to solve a problem with notifications (Formatted Slack message after successful build) through a webhook, just to realise this will not provide me the $BRANCH_NAME variable.

This icon indicates an unread Work Chat message. If you don't want this type of notification to appear, you can navigate to System Preferences > Notifications > Evernote and uncheck "Badge app icon." Hope that helps!

I'm having the same issue. I don't have any new Work Chat messages but I do have the red dot notification in my dock. I tried Preferences but there is no notification option in my version. Any further suggestions?

My icon had the red notification with the number 4. I found that it was old reminders. If I opened the reminders and on each one, I opened it then tapped the alarm clock on it for the 4 I had, the red notification cleared.

Strange. I'm sure there's some go-see-the-note-that-generated-the-notification button, but I can't find it. Does every Evernote use have to make their own filter? If so, can some share the syntax of that filter?

Any updates on this? After the recent app update on my Macbook Pro, I have a red circle with a 2 on it. I've gone through and deleted all my old work chats and any reminders I had and it's still there. So frustrating - why is there no single location to see why you have notifications?!

I don't see a way to modify this per channel but you can change it per team. In your preferences go to "notifications" and uncheck "show a badge on Slack's icon to indicate new activity" and that should do it.

Is there a way to configure multiple circles with the Life360 app? Right now I can pick my main circle, but I am part of a few and would love to pull in presence from those for rules like an inlaw alert.

Life360 has the concept of "Circles" and "Places". A Circle is a "group of people" like a family group or a group of friends that you want to share your information with. There's always 1 circle but you can add as many as you like.

The multiple Circles is more difficult. As to get the information you have to provide a CircleID to retrieve the members and places and having a system do this would require multiple "Instances" of the app each tied to a specific CircleID. Alternative would be through the authentication process of getting ALL Circles the authenticating member belongs to and then creating the devices and places for each circle and many of them can/would overlap and duplicate and.... it becomes a mess.

Yes, I'm more interested in supporting multiple Circles at this point. I really just need the ability to install a second copy of the app, as the flow for setting things up is exactly what I'd like to do, just for people in more than one circle.

Once you add the Life360 App, and configure it with the necessary data, it should populate a list of users that you can select. Once you select the Life360 users (you need to have Life360 installed on their phones and and have them joined to your circle), and click Done, the app will create the Presence Devices for each user.

Edit to that to say maybe if we beg nicely we can get them to do the dual circle implementation that webcore did. It's freaking genius and I personally haven't used any other systems that replicate it. It's also rock solid.

I recently upgraded from Ubuntu 22.10 to Ubuntu 23.04 and it seems nice. The only thing I do not like is the new emblem which counts the notifications. Is it possible to remove it but keep the notifications in the notification area?

When it comes to online events and live streams, Circle blows Podia out of the water. With Circle, you can create events ahead of time, allow members to RSVP, and send scheduled reminders before your event starts. You can also go live at any time, and Circle will send a notification to let your members know.

A solid blue circle with two white arrows going in a circle means that your file or folder is in the process of syncing. This includes when you are uploading new files to Dropbox or updating existing files in your Dropbox account.

A white circle with a green border and a green checkmark means that a file or folder in the Dropbox folder on your desktop was opened (directly or with a third-party application) and synced. It also represents files uploaded from the computer you are using.

The circular arrows over the OneDrive or OneDrive for work or school notification icons signify that sync is in progress. This includes when you are uploading files, or OneDrive is syncing new files from the cloud to your PC. ff782bc1db
