Mindfulness is a practice that involves intentionally bringing one's attention and awareness to the presentmoment without judgment. It's about being fully present and engaged in the here and now, rather thandwelling on the past or worrying about the future. Mindfulness encourages a non-judgmental attitude towardsone's thoughts, emotions and sensations, allowing them to arise and pass without any added stress. Bycultivating mindfulness, people often develop a greater sense of clarity, calmness and overall wellbeing, aswell as enhance their ability to respond skillfully to the challenges of life.

Lastly, it is theorized that green noise is calming because it simulates the spectrum of natural noise without human-made noises; this noise has more energy at mid-range frequencies and is sometimes used in sound masking for tinnitus.

For some reason this work around doesn't work with calm. When I cast my audio everything else will play, except calm audio. I see that it is playing however there is silence. When I change apps the other sounds start to play.

I have 2 under 2 and am burnt out after the day with pretty bad anxiety. This tea has been life changing for someone like me because it really calms me down without sedating me and keeping me couch locked. 10/10 recommend it has saved my sanity

We offer mindful meditation in various venues throughout the Health System. The Mount Sinai Calm team can arrange to visit departments or units during the workday to conduct mindfulness workshops; we have developed a program designed to meet weekly after hours, and we teach employees how to practice 60-seconds of self-care that incorporates mindfulness. Engage-Calm-Distract provides foundational material on pediatric distress and information on applying developmentally appropriate strategies and activities for engaging, calming, and distracting children and their caregivers.

The Calm Mind Kit is intended for children ages 3 and older but we encourage the whole family to #cultivatecalm together! Each activity card is designed to be introduced to a child by an adult. Over time children will be able to complete the exercises on their own but it is always meaningful for adults and children to practice mindfulness together.
