As you cannot answer these in Beeper, you need to keep the original whatsapp notifications for them in place. However, the notification from whatsapp (that contains the answer button) gets overwritten everytime by the useless notification from Beeper that I should answer this in Whatsapp... which I can't because the notificaiton is gone.

The calls features are only available in WhatsApp native Desktop app 64-bit(Which the official website show that only Mac and window native app for desktop are available ), not in WhatsApp Web,and unfortunately they haven't developed the native app for Linux. The one which we are installing and using from Ubuntu-Software is Web version. That's why the call feature is not available in that.

If you are really interested in using WhatsApp, then the solution is to install an Android emulator such as Genymotion and within that emulator install and use WhatsApp. This will enable the video and audio calling features.

Signal is made with the help of the original WhatsApp-Developer and it is much better. You have better voice quality if you call someone, you have Video-call integrated in the desktop-App and everything what you have with the phone-App. You can send pictures with original quality, they will not be converted down if you do not want it.

Recently me and one of my friends decided to download and give WhatsApp Desktop a shot now that the Multi-device beta is a thing, but we've ran into an issue where if one of us tries to call the other from PC, it will only ring the phone of the person receiving the call. Same goes for if one of us starts a call from a phone, it will only ring the phone of the person receiving the call. Basically, it seems that we've been able to make calls from WhatsApp Desktop but not receive them on WhatsApp Desktop. Is this intentional? If not is there some workaround for this? I've tried unlinking and relinking my phone to WhatsApp Desktop, I've tried going through various PC settings (Windows notification settings, disabling antivirus just in case it was blocking popups, etc.), I've tried using WhatsApp Web, and I still haven't been able to receive calls on my PC.

i am having issues with lowering the volume during a video call. i am running ios 11.0.3 with iphone 7 plus. my whatsaspp version is the latest one. i have tried hard reset etc. I have the same issue when i make a whatsapp voice call and use speakers. I can not adjust the volume during the call. Anybody else having similar issues? This is a brand new device and no damages. The volume issue does not happen on other apps like facetime.

Apart from that, when I was playing games fullscreen while on a call I would click on the call mini window and it would disappear, or when I was using a standard app I could just drag the window away from what I was doing. Now I can't hide it in any way, not even dragging it away, and I really need this feature working again. Any workarounds? Thank you.

I need some help. In a good relationship with a girl for a few years, right now going through a troubled phase. Whenever I try calling her on WhatsApp, it shows "calling" but not "Ringing" and she doesn't pick up the phone. Which means the there is no internet connection on her phone, right? The peculiar thing is, when I message her immediately during or after this call, the messages get delivered with 2 ticks. She has not blocked or muted me, I can see her profile picture and status. Read receipts are off. Dumbfounded as to how this is happening. Please help.

This is for an elderly family member, and she does not read English. She wants to make video calls to another family member who does not have an iPhone. However, they both have WhatsApp. I want her to be able to click one icon and be able to video call the other family member. How can I do this? I can't seem to find such an action in Shortcuts.

Companies are selected automatically by the algorithm. A company's rating is calculated using a mathematical algorithm that evaluates the information in your profile. The algorithm parameters are: user's rating, number of resolved issues, number of company's responses etc. The algorithm is subject to change in future.

I am wondering if there is a way I can detect a skype call/telegram/whatsapp/fb messenger call etc in progress or incoming call etc just like the regular phone call with telephony manager/listener? I would like to have some kind of mechanism that detects an ongoing /incoming etc call from skype/telegram etc for my app. I came across this solution :Call Detection for skype in android but not sure if it'll work for all generic messenger apps. Is there a hack or any kind of listener I can implement on my side that allows me to detect these? Any ideas would be awesome.

Set up a three-way call with two computers on your side. The magic computer has no microphone or a microphone in full Mute. Set up to record the speaker or headphone feed. Start the recording. You two carry on as normal. The magic third computer listens to everything and shovels it all off to Audacity with little or no damage.

I had a similar situation and called Airbnb customer service. She told me it is Airbnb policy to keep all communication on the platform so there is a thread of all communication to protect both parties. I followed her advice.

I would tell her until there is a booking, it is standard policy to keep all communication on the Airbnb app. Most people attempt to send me an email address or a phone number which is automatically blocked by Airbnb in the message system. I would be very skeptical of anyone trying to communicate outside of the system, although some people do want to hear a voice at times.

In June 2023, WhatsApp announced an additional privacy feature: Silence Unknown Callers. We launched this feature for the benefits it has for not only privacy but also security. The experience is simple: with the setting turned on, calls from unknown numbers do not ring your phone. Having carefully built this feature to minimize attack surface and external data processing, we are able to help protect users from not only unwanted contact, but also cyber attacks and spyware.

Instead, WhatsApp built a specialized protocol for delivering stripped-down, silenced call notifications to recipients. The server enforces this protocol, protecting the recipient device from the complexity of normal call setup and from processing attacker-controlled data.

It is not possible to receive a call through WhatsApp while in a Zoom call. WhatsApp and Zoom are separate platforms and do not have the capability to integrate with each other in that way. If you need to take a call on WhatsApp while in a Zoom call, you will need to exit the Zoom call and take the gb WhatsApp call separately.

Hosting conference calls is a great way to get your team on the same page no matter where in the world they are. In addition to sending text messages, you can use WhatsApp to make voice calls. Because calls are made over the Internet, there will be no charges made or minutes used by your cellular plan. However, if you're not connected to a Wi-Fi network, voice calls will use up data from your data plan.

All three of these methods will begin a call with the person you've selected. Once that person accepts the call, you're good to go. You have the option of muting the call, sending a message, and using the speaker by tapping the corresponding buttons. When you're done with the call, simply tap the end call button.

When someone calls you via WhatsApp, it will look similar to when you receive a regular phone call, but it will display the words WhatsApp Audio somewhere on the screen. In our example, our screenshot is from an iPhone, so it may look different to you depending on the device you're using. Simply tap or slide the answer button to accept the call.

This is very anoying, why do I need a watch for notifications when I don't get them and I need my phone on LOUD otherwise I miss all my calls ? Nobody at Garmin cares about this issue . I'm having it for 2 years now and I had the fenix 5x pro and also Marq edition.
