Before attacking me for asking this question. I am not attacking or wanting to bring a bad name to these artists, Im just very curious. They use afrobeats and use a nigerian language. I really love the song and the beat and I think they made a hit, but I myself am an arab girl who doesn't know whether nigerians are offended by this song or not. Could someone who has more knowledge than me about cultural appropriation explain what they think of the song and whether its cultural appreciation or cultural appropriation.

"BOLO" by PENOMECO () (Ft. YDG) is a song about a man who is trying to persuade a woman to not act like a "bolo" (Korean slang for someone who acts a certain way but does not follow through) and to open up and let him get closer. The song talks about the beauty of a city at night, and about how it should be shared with and experienced by the person he is interested in. The chorus then repeats that he wants to get her number, talk to her, and see where things go. It can be interpreted as a sweet invitation to start a relationship and to go beyond what either of them can imagine.
