As mentioned above, does not work with FF777 and no support from 777 forum at this stage. How can this be fixed? Is this a Better pushback issue or FF problem. Would be great if someone could help as the 777 is my main aircraft but better pushback is rendered useless with this aircraft. Hopefully someone out there can assist on how to fix this problem as seems plenty face the same issue.

I recently bought X-Plane 11 (1-2 weeks ago) and had a really good start. I downloaded several plugins and had a lot of fun.

However, today I installed a couple of plugins and I noticed that the marshaller of "better pushback" doesn't talk anymore. Usally "he talks to the captain".

The push back work fine with the sound; when using a Bluetooth speaker. and switched to a regular speaker the audio from the plugins the audio stop, went back to Bluetooth and everything was normal again/

I figure out, in X-Plane 10, that the plugin volume can be changed in the com radio configuration, at the x-plane menu path Settings > Sound. The com radio volume changes the volume of the radio communication between ground and plane, when the betterpushback plugin is active.

I just found out the reason of this issue. When I started the pushback-phase I forgot to disable the external powerin the EFB. In addition I noticed something very interesting: I started the pushback without the engines started. In this case the pushback-tug didn't finish the pushback procedure. I even couldn't stop pushback by choosing the menue option - another thing: I wasn't able to activate the parking brake. Afterwards when I started the engines all of a suddon everything was working how it should. .....very strange! ?

I have had this same issue. The pushback never ends! I notice the plane is moving very, very slowly and I have to activate and release the parking brake a few times. I also notice the brake handle animation doesn't happen when you are trying to stop the pushback.

I've just checked to see if I forget the chocks, but a clean start, chocks removed, no external services connected at all, battery on, utilities on, APU started and APU power selected. No engine start attempted. Parking brake on. Pre plan better pushback. Action pushback. Release parking brake at the command. Aircraft is pushed in a straight line while tug steers to assume a diagonal push direction for alignment with the taxiway, but just skids (impossibly) sideways while the aircraft continues in a straight line...

I noticed the same thing as one other poster reporting the pushback never ends... I think that is because I am starting engines during the push. Once the final two engines start is where I can really see the slow-ness... the poor tug! Pushing against all that thrust! LOL I think my SOP in the future will be to let the tug push me back and THEN start up those mighty engines.

Not a bad idea. Considering that ATC instructions will likely be modified, this feature would revolutionise pushbacks in the sim. At least it will become less of a hassle to pushback from stands at the corner of terminals e.g at Stockholm, Cairo, JFK, LAX, Nairobi etc

Overall it seems like a handy idea, but just seems a little unrealistic in a way. I like it the way it is. You never know what the traffic on the taxiway would be like and your pushback might need to be changed.

I like this idea! But honestly, I think what would work better in IF than a better pushback kind of pushback would be the type of pushback in X-Plane mobile. You can have an option to either pushback straight, left or right. This simplifies things greatly and would also retain the simplicity of IF.

Well, it is more realistic because in real life the pilot does not control the pushback. Also, generally before pushing back you have to check to make sure that there are no planes around you. However, if there is an emergency you will be able to pause the push back.

I updated to x plane 11.50 and better pushback do not working properly. It does not show the lines to fix the position , the mouse does not work. The sound is ok, but the truck carrier does not appear anywhere. Thanks for your help!!!

I have also have this problem with the version from your link and 11.50. No lines to see. I can call the truck carrier and hecus , but i cant show him were i want to go. So he push me uncontrolled over the airport.

Option 2: if u set your Xplane monitor as Primary on Windows Displays Configuration works fine, I dont like this cos my Primary Monitor is a "windows user" monitor (charts, maps, vatsim cliente, etc) and i use Xplane in a bigger (secondary) monitor.

I downloaded the newest Better Pushback 0.48 and did not work for me either, regardless of multiple attempts and almost two hours trying to make it work. Then, I downloaded the free EZ Pushback 0.4.2 and worked perfect on the first try! It just goes back and forward, no turnings, no visible tug, stops when you ask for, and works perfect for my needs.

From another string.. there is a conflict between Betterpushback and UWXP. Is you turn off UWXP using Plugin administrator betterpush back works.. including the preplanning. Once you are done pushbach.. simply turn UWXP back on same way.. Tried it this morning and had no problem...other than having to deal with the ugly default cloud during pushback ;)

Better Pushback Pre-Planning work normally during the Pre-Planning phase and Connection phase: the tug shows up, the operator calls when connecting and when starting the pushback after brake release. However, thing turn sour when the aircraft starts to move: the tug moves very fast and pushes the aircraft all over the place: through the fences, into the Terminal and through other aircraft. It can only be stopped through the menu with the Stop Pushback command. Usually, the Airbus 350 ends up in the car parking lot or in the middle of an active runway!

On my side it works well but doesn't move away from the plane once pushback is completed (even though parking brake are set and I can see the pushback truck disconnecting from the airplane nose (INibuilds A300/FFA320)...

The problem is persisting, i.e. the tow driver gets crazy and pushes my A350 all over the place at full blast. It's a problem of the worst kind: it's occasional! I've been trying to analyze what I did differently every time it occurs, and I still haven't got a clue. I have the latest BetterPushback update. I can't find anything related to a particular airport. I always fly the A350. Yesterday, instead of being pushed through the Terminal and the car parking lot as usual, I was moving in circle on the tarmac. I can always command the pushback to stop, but it takes about 15 seconds before the driver decides it's game over. I wish I could talk to his boss ...!

I know all these tug drivers on a first name basis and we've discussed many times the issue of those "-pilot-not-smart-enough-to-know-when-to-switch-on-taxi-lights". I always wait till I see the guy with the pins in his hands on the side of the aircraft before turning the lights on. There must be another reason for the erratic behavior. I may have to check in the tug if they hide a bottle of liquor in the glove compartment ...

Hey Guys, I have a triple monitor set up for my x-plane and my better pushback always starts opens on the right most screen despite the middle screen. Does anyone think that they may be able to help? It is quite irritating as I fly with Pilot Edge and whenever I pushback, the tug seems to have a mind of its own. I have been using the default x-plane pushback but its not great. 152ee80cbc
