Joining / About

How to Join (2021):

After a pause last year, we are ready to get the troop going again. Before we can officially form dens and sign-up scouts we need to see how many scouts are interested and most importantly we need parents to sign up to be Den leaders and to help with Pack Events. Please note that due to Covid protocols, parents must attend each meeting and event with scouts, we must have a 1:1 ratio.

Please complete the following form and let us know your interest for this year:

The Structure of the Pack

The Pack consists of 6 Dens:

  • Lions (Kindergarten)

  • Tigers (1st Grade)

  • Wolves (2nd Grade)

  • Bears (3rd Grade)

  • Webelos (4th Grade)

  • Webelos II--Arrow of Light (5th Grade)

Each Den is lead by and managed by one or more Den Leader. The Den Leader is the guide, but the Cubs and their parents are also a crucial part of the den.

The Pack is the collection of all the Dens and holds monthly events for all Cubs and their families during the School year. Pack events are lead by the Cubmaster and/or Assistant Cubmaster and planned in conjunction with the Pack Committee.

Parental Involvement and Commitment:

  • All our Adult Leaders are Parent Volunteers

Required Leadership:

  • We are required to have some level of Parent and Registered Adult Leader Presence at all Den and Pack events

    • For Lion Events we are required to have at least one registered adult leader and a 1:1 adult partner to Cub ratio

    • For Tiger Events we are required to have at least one registered adult leader and a minimum 1:2 adult partner to Cub ratio

    • For All other Dens we are required to have at least one registered adult leader and 1 parent present for all events

    • For Pack Events, we are required to have at least one registered adult leader and 1 parent; for Lions and Tigers attending Pack events, their adult partners should also attend.

    • While parents of older Cubs are not required for most pack events (other than overnights), we strongly encourage them to attend Pack events with their Cubs.

We can't hold events if we cannot get enough adult involvement, so please reach out to your Den or Pack leadership if you can help in any way. If you are interested in helping to guide and be a role model for the Cubs, please consider a role as a Den Leader or Assistant Den Leader. If you are interested in a less public role, our Adult Committee meets monthly and handles the Pack's organizational and financial planning as well as managing the Pack website and planning Pack Events.

Throughout the year we will reach out for additional help as necessary.
