Jerod has had two profound interests since childhood: Earth, and the life it holds. Jerod is now pursuing a Ph.D. in geology, focused on the origins of life, and his research involves conducting laboratory experiments to examine the role of terrestrial sediment on the abiotic synthesis of biomolecules under presumed early Earth conditions. In his free time, Jerod enjoys escaping the city and experiencing nature.
