A space in Heroy Hall is being set up to accommodate the compositional analysis of samples including major cations and anions and organic compounds. Capabilities will also exist to handle DNA and RNA from sample sites. Existing facilities in the Department of Earth Sciences at SMU, such as the Stable Isotope Lab and the Materials Characterization Lab, are also available. Additional resources in the Department of Chemistry also exist.
All of the computational resources required to carry out thermodynamic calculations and modeling experiments already exist.
