Jonathan Stavnskær Doucette
is an Associate Professor at the Department of Society and Politics, Aalborg University. He holds a Ph.D. (2020) from the Department of Political Science at Aarhus University. His research examines, among other things, the origins of autonomous cities, European colonization, the impact of the Catholic Church on European state formation, and the role of the state in promoting democratization.
