Beyond academia, I collaborate with policymakers, humanitarian organizations, and private sector partners to address operational and strategic challenges in crisis contexts. My policy engagement work translates research insights into actionable guidance, supports decision-making in complex environments, and fosters more inclusive approaches to disaster governance.

Strengthening Business-Humanitarian Partnerships

Worked with global networks, UN agencies, and research institutions to explore how country-level business-humanitarian coalitions can improve coordination in disaster response. This included developing analytical frameworks and practitioner-oriented recommendations that inform both policy and operational practice.

Mainstreaming Private Sector Engagement in Disaster Logistics

Led an internal study for the World Food Programme’s Logistics Cluster to examine the role of private sector partners in emergency logistics. Contributed to the development of recommendations for engaging corporate actors in humanitarian supply chains, with the aim of improving coordination and operational responsiveness.

Integrating Gender and Impact Measurement in Crisis Response

Worked with the UN agencies to develop gender-sensitive indicators and impact measurement frameworks for private sector engagement in humanitarian contexts.

Translating Research into Practitioner Guidance

Drawing on my PhD research at Copenhagen Business School, I am developing a forthcoming practitioner resource to help policymakers and humanitarian actors leverage local business networks for disaster resilience.
