About me

I studied psychology at the University of Milano-Bicocca where I received my BSc degree in Applied Cognitive Psychology, as well as my MSc degree in Psychology of Thinking and Decisional Processes. I did half of my PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Milano-Bicocca, under the supervision of Paolo Cherubini and Carlo Reverberi, and half at the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience Berlin, under the supervision of John-Dylan Haynes. There, I did also my postdoc on the neural basis of strategic interaction, under the direction of Aldo Rustichini. Later, I moved to Trento at the Learning and Decision Making Group for a postdoc investigating neural representations of value during decision tasks, under the direction of Giorgio Coricelli. After, I moved back to Berlin at the  Charité - Univesitätsmedizin Berlin within the Excellence Cluster "Science of Intelligence" to investigate neural representations during human-robot interaction, under the supervision of John-Dylan Haynes. Currently, I work as an Assistant Professor at the University of Pavia with Claudia Gandini Wheeler-Kingshott and Egidio D'Angelo.

I firmly believe that everyone should have equal opportunities and should not be penalized for their gender, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, etc. in building their career (and in life in general). To promote equality in my field, I joined the Women in Neuroscience Repository board and served as a member of the Equal Opportunity Committee at the Science of Intelligence Cluster. I also support initiatives pursuing similar goals, such as the 1 Million Women in STEM.

As a psychologist and cognitive neuroscientist, I have an aptitude for understanding people's motivations and behavior. Learning about a person's origin and culture is very important to grasp their perspective. Especially, I like to observe people in their genuine context. Thus, I travel a lot to learn about different cultures and open my mind, but also to train my photography skills :)

Last, but not least, I am mother of a beautiful little girl <3
