Doris L. Morrow Academy is meant for families who have a strong desire to homeschool their children with the support of a credentialed educator. We invite you to think about your family's needs and whether you believe they will be met by our program. We provide an engaging curriculum and nurturing environment for children to thrive in. Homeschool Education Program Options:
Option 1: Umbrella Program- Record Keeping for parents who plan to home-school their students grades K-12 on their own using our PSP and record-keeping services. Annual fee of $375 includes: a) Enrollment by completed application with Doris L. Morrow Academy Private School Satellite Program (PSP) registered with an annual Private School Affidavit in the State of California; b)We provide guidance and curriculum assistance to families; c) We will function as your school office, taking care of records maintenance, interaction with previous schools, state and business forms. You can focus on learning and leave the administrative issues to us.
1) Personal information: name, birth date, address, birth certificate, enrollment date
List of courses of study provided each year while enrolled in Doris L. Morrow Academy
Grades, transcripts, or progress reports as appropriate
Immunization records if students participate in groups that meet together face to face
Instructor information - parent qualifications to teach their own child
Parents provide curriculum however they may purchase online curriculum from the resources listed on the resource page or pay a monthly curriculum fee to have the school provide the same curriculum used for virtual and in-person students. Tuition and Fees , Option 1 Application & Resources
Option 2: Virtual Learning- Students may enroll and attend classes via Google Meet. Classes are offered Monday - Thursdays, 10:00 am to 3:00pm. Please see the 2022 Schedule for exact times of classes. Students enrolled in our virtual learning will be provided skills based and culturally relevant curriculum, small group instruction and collaboration time with peers. Those who live locally are invited to participate in field trips. Tuition and Fees , Option 2 Application
Option 3: In Person Learning- Seating is limited in our In-Person Learning. Students may attend full-time Monday-Thursday 9:00-3:00 PM (modified Friday Schedule), 3 days full-day 9:00-3:00 PM or Enroll in specific classes, see schedule. Each Class meets once a day each week. Field trips are both part of the in-person and virtual learning experiences and/or may be purchased separately as an activity. All students provided skills based and culturally relevant curriculum, one-to-one instruction, P.E. social time. Tuition is based on the number of days parents choose at enrollment.
