Focused on Safety, Growth, and Community
It’s time to prioritize pedestrians, cyclists, and families.
Speeding vehicles and unsafe crossings put residents at risk, especially as more people walk, bike, or use golf carts to get around. Kennesaw must plan for safer, more accessible streets.
I support:
Installing speed tables in residential and high-foot-traffic zones
Creating protected alternative transportation lanes where feasible
Ensuring all sidewalks are connected
New development is coming. Let’s make sure it works for everyone.
Crime doesn’t stop at city boundaries—neither should our solutions.
Kennesaw has implemented efficient, effective approaches to public safety. It’s time to share those strategies with our neighboring cities and universities to create a unified, regional response to crime. By working together across jurisdictions, we can improve coordination, expand coverage, and protect our citizens more effectively. Enhancing our regional understanding across jurisdictional boundaries can ensure our resources are used to efficiently combat crime.
Support local businesses. Bring new energy to our business corridors.
As a Downtown Kennesaw resident, I’ve seen too many local venues close without new businesses stepping in. We need to attract diverse, sustainable enterprises—while empowering the ones already here.
Key actions:
Redevelop underutilized plots in the downtown core
Help property owners unlock their site’s full potential
Encourage community spaces and social businesses.
Our downtown hasn’t received the focus it deserves. Let’s reinvest in it and make it a destination for meals, shopping, and gathering.
Kennesaw should be the easiest place to start a business in Cobb County.
Right now, the business licensing process in Kennesaw invasive and unnecessarily burdensome for small or first-time entrepreneurs. That has to change.
We need to:
Eliminate steps for select types of businesses
Offer programing to increase tax literacy for new business owners
Connect entrepreneurs with the organizations like the KDDA to help them avoid early pitfalls
Offer onboarding help for first-time small business owners
Let’s make Kennesaw a place where small businesses can grow, not get stuck in bureaucracy.
