mEET CANDIDATE Donovan Giardina 

Donovan Giardina grew up just down the road in Holly Springs, GA and has called Kennesaw home for the past four years. He’s a doctoral candidate in Criminal Justice at Georgia State University, where he focuses on improving how government programs serve our communities. Donovan earned his Bachelor of Science in Public Management and Policy from Georgia State and has worked with agencies like the Department of Community Supervision and the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council on projects to make programs more effective and efficient. He also consults with the Northern District of Georgia’s ATL Court Program, helping support innovative approaches to public safety.

Here in Kennesaw, Donovan has been an active volunteer, helping the Downtown Development Authority and assisting in running the Kennesaw Farmers Market. He’s passionate about supporting local businesses, keeping our neighborhoods safe, and making sure Kennesaw continues to be a place where families and businesses thrive.

As someone who combines real-world problem-solving experience with a heart for service, Donovan is committed to listening to residents and working together to build a stronger, more connected Kennesaw.
