Writing can be a chore. And the likes of Grammerly or ChatGPT don't necessarily make it easier. Why? Because whether AI, software or App based, they merely add to the growing slush pile of "time-saving" tools filling our lives that many people are too overwhelmed to learn, let alone use or manage.
As the owner of the freelance writing website Mechanical Pencil, Don Merrill creates articles, scripts, press releases, technical manuals and ghostwrites; anything that needs written for others to read. Turnaround times can be quick. He also has a blog about journalism and media, here
