Conversations

Stories begin in a quiet space, between two people.

Everybody has a story to tell someone.

Political

Since 2014, I've talked with gubenatorial, legislative and judicial candidates for Oregon state government and its courts. These conversations were part of my Candidate Interview Project.

Voters needed to hear in-depth answers from incumbents and challengers and policy-makers seeking Oregon political office.

I did these because it was important. To listen, click here

I intend to continue this work in Ohio politics.

Non-political

These interviews began with my time as a military journalist in the 1980s and have continued to this day. Here, I talk with celebrities, or organizations and everyday folks who are stars in their own right by just loving whatever it is that they do.

Philosophers, singers, activists, actors, comedians, scientists, authors and are some of great talks I've had and share.

Conversations is under the umbrella of Don Merrill Associates. Interviews here represent a sample of those I've done over the years. They may be distributed via the Pacifica network's Audioport, the Public Radio Exchange (PRX), various social media and some radio stations from Oregon to Ohio.
