Done Right by Dacy – Fence Fixing Tips That Hold the Line

1. Inspect the Damage
      -First We Check for:

• Leaning or broken posts

• Cracked or rotting boards

• Loose or rusted fasteners

• Wobbly rails or gaps

2. Remove and Replace Bad Posts
The if n Dig out the damaged post (usually 4x4 treated lumber).

• Clear concrete or rotten wood

• Dig at least 24" deep

• Add gravel at the base for drainage

• Set new post with fast-set concrete and level it!

3. Replace Rails and Planks
🪚 Cut fresh rails and planks to size

• Use galvanized or coated screws/nails

• Space planks evenly

• Keep tops level or follow grade slope if needed

4. Reinforce Structure
🔩 Use metal brackets or braces if extra support is needed

• Add blocking between posts for stronger rails

5. Finish It Right
🎨 Sand rough edges
🧼 Clean the surface
🪵 Apply weatherproof stain or sealant to protect your work
