Welcome! I am a PhD Candidate in political science at Emory University. My research is in political economy, and seeks to understand the causes and consequences of coercive or unequal economic structures, both historically and in the modern day.

My main lines of research examine the causes and legacies of state repression, the economic sources of social conflict, interpersonal violence, and rebellion, along with the efficacy of interventions intended to reconcile social divisions after conflicts. Regionally, my research focuses on the Southeast Asia and the Americas. My CV can be viewed here.
