The Do Monte lab is located on the 7th floor of the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, in the heart of the Texas Medical Center. Students and postdoctoral fellows are part of the very strong and collaborative neuroscience communities that compose the center and nearby institutions. The Texas Medical Center is considered the largest medical center in the world. The center contains 21 hospitals, eight specialty institutions, eight academic and research institutions, and four medical schools. As the fourth-largest city in the United States, Houston is a thriving urban metropolis that supports some of the most vivid cultural, art and culinary scenes in the country. It is also considered as one of the best cities in the country to live, work and play.
